LAZER is a science-fiction based fantasy role-playing game of my own creation. One way that it differs from other games out there is that it isn't set in the future or the past relative to human history, because in LAZER there is no human history. Humans don't exist, Earth doesn't exist, Earth's lifeforms don't exist; none of it.
The entire galaxy is completely fictitious as are the species, craft, creatures, etc. LAZER is a game where technology and magic are equally common and usually mixed, and any character can master one or both. In this galaxy technology has created things like force fields, anti-gravity, living armor that heals itself and living craft that get tougher and more competent with every engagement. Computers and androids are often sentient beings and some just might try to kill you.
The lifeforms you will encounter might be from Tamara, Psych, Drom or any of the other known core planets. Any gaming scenario is possible in LAZER... your character might begin on some backwater moon where his or her knife is the most high-tech weapon around, or they might be involved in an interplanetary war commanding starships that can lay waste to entire continents.
Shadi, Sabratha, Cha-Kief, Vaji and scores of other nasty creatures are ready and able to make your character's lives a living hell. In addition to the lifeforms, robots, androids, magic spells, magic items and crafts will also undoubtedly become problems (or solutions) to your players.
I've been playing role-playing games since I was ten years old and I've found them to be of great benefit and I really enjoy myself when I'm playing, as I'm sure you do as well. Let me invite you to sit back, open your mind as wide as you can, and enjoy the ride. Welcome to LAZER... Welcome to my little world...
