5.0 out of 5 stars Great get moving Songs
My 6yr old son just finished listening to the songs that are on the cd and he hasn't stopped singing. It is good positive music for kids that gets them up and moving. He watches Lazytown almost everyday with my 2yr old and they spend 30 minutes trying to be Sportacus,Running and Jumping all over the place. 3.0 out of 5 stars Where's the ORIGINAL "Bing Bang Song"?
Any parent of a toddler who watches this show (and who also has a fondness for catchy techno-pop dance music) will generally find this album a delight both for him or herself as well as the little ones. Except for the somewhat over-the-top Robbie Rotten cuts, these are clever, bubble-gum dance-pop tunes with hooks galore.

Yes the puppets are a little freaky looking, but it is what it is, A show for kids to get them excited about eating healthy and moving their body. We play the songs and instantly my kids are moving jumping and singing along. I would rather be watching Lazytown with the freaky puppets than a big Purple dinosaur! I think that the music and the show are great for young kids and it is fun to see my kids so excited about silly fun songs. (my son loves brushing his teeth now because of the song "Twenty Times", even tries to brush them while doing one handed push-ups...)
Enjoy the music and watch your kids have fun

The first time I saw Lazy Town, I went to change the channel because it was so horribly cheesy, but my 3 year daughter really seemed to enjoy the show, so I let her watch. After a couple of epsidoes, I kind of got used to it, but after the first time she asked to have carrots at snack time becasue "she needed energy", I was sold for life! Any show that can encourage kids to eat healthy and exercise (and kids actually listen) has my vote, and, I have to admit, the euro-pop dance songs are kinda catchy!

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT CD,SHOULD HAVE HAD MORE SONGS TO IT!, August 19, 2005
This review is from: Lazytown (Audio CD)
This CD is only 30 minutes long and, they should have added more songs as there are some great tunes that Stephanie Sings that are not included here. One of the great tunes she sings that they did not include is "Anything Can Happen". This one is right up there with the 2 tunes on this CD that she sings on track 2 and 3 which are "Always A Way" and "Teamwork"
Very upbeat feel good songs!

Another song missing that she sings and is another upbeat tune is "Galaxy".

of course one other song they did not put on this CD is the great original version of "Bing Bang". They could have added this one. The remix version that they decided to put on this CD is not at all sounding like the "Bing Bang" song we all know!! Another great song that she sings and which is not on this CD is "Dancing", as well as "Good Stuff".

This could have been the ultimate Lazytown CD with all these extras songs I listed but, what we have is just SOME of the great songs.

Perhaps there will be a volume 2 released and if so, it would have all these missing songs. its just a shame tho that these other good upbeat songs were not put on the CD to make it the very best!

I do love the CD because it has TEAMWORK and ALWAYS A WAY. I keep playing these over and over, its like I cannot get enough of these 2 tunes, they are such feel good tunes!!

The one thing that prevents me from recommending this CD without hesitation is the absence of the original version of Stephanie's signature end-of-show "Bing Bang Song," which has been replaced by a terribly overproduced remix. Apparently, some suit thought it would be a good idea to hire someone to "pump up" the original version. Instead, what they got was a textbook example of a bad remix. The original version heard on the show is more than fine as it is -- indeed, it is probably the catchiest of the catchy songs on Lazytown -- and it was a gross oversight not to include it on this CD along with the atrocious remix (a not uncommon thing on CDs).

5.0 out of 5 stars A great CD for the entire family, November 15, 2005

My family loves this CD. The music is all upbeat and fun to dance to. My 16 month old, my 6 year old and my 37 year old husband really enjoy the music. The songs are infectious and have you singing them all day. The song "Wake Up" is great for getting up in the morning. I am so glad I bought it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just have fun!, September 6, 2005

I think this is a great CD for what it is. It's for kids! Parents enjoy it too! Some of the other reviews are so critical. Who are these people? Ebert and Roeper? Do they have kids? It's just a fun CD for kids to listen to! I don't think you need a rocket scientist to figure out whether or not to buy this CD. Either you like Lazytown or you don't! My toddler loves Lazytown and any kind of music that makes him get off his feet. And so what if it's only 30 minutes long, most children under the age of 5 have a short attention span. After the 30 minutes are up, pop in a Wiggles CD or something. I'm sure your kids will be ready to hear something else by that time. Gosh, plain and simple! End of story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Welcome To Lazytown, September 10, 2005

During the summer I sat down and actually watched the show. What I thought was that this was insane show that I couldnt stand. Immediately I shut the show off. Once I watched the show again I realized that not only does this show have catchy toons but it also makes you want to get up and move. Exactly what this Country needs. The creator of this show comes from iceland. His name is Magnus Scheving. This explanation will be from the first episode. What the show is about is a girl named stephanie comes to lazy town to meet her uncle and spend the summer with him. She soon finds out that lazy town is called lazy town for a reason. There are no kids anywhere and everything is quiet. Being devastated by this she goes out to find kids. They are all inside playing video games and eating. Stephanie encourages them to go outside but that doesnt last too long. Because Robby Rotten uses there faults to trick them. After coming home her uncle who is the mayor of lazy town tells her about a super hero that use to live there and jumped around and stuff. She immediately calls this super hero to the town. His name, Sportacous. (sorry people im bad at spelling) He comes to lazy town and makes the kids active. As there is with all tv shows sportacous has an enemy. Robby Rotten. By using disguises he trys to make the kids of lazy town lazy again. Honestly this show really is very positive and should be watched by all children. OH yeah i have to make a review about the cd. The cd is compiled of corky fun songs. Such as Stephanies Big Bang song that she always sings after an episode. Its an upbeat pop album that is great for jumping around and getting crazy with your children for about an hour and a half.
