Product Description

Opening wine is a breeze with this innovative lever corkscrew. Patented rotation technology lifts out the cork with a simple up-and-over motion, requiring far less effort than standard pull-type openers. It quickly removes any size or type of cork-from crumbly old corks to modern plastic ones. Made of a durable zinc-aluminum alloy with an antique chrome/silver finish. The stainless-steel corkscrew has a nonstick coating for ultrasmooth operation. Set includes a metal foilcutter with matching finish and stores in a handsome storage box.

...at least it is in my opinion. The opener is VERY heavy and takes up a lot of drawer space if that's where you plan to store it. It will stand on your counter, but is a bit top heavy. I've never had any type of wine opener that does the job as easily as this one. It is a "must have" for a serious wine drinker. Far superior to the "wing" and "rabbit ears" type.

I started with the original screwpull, then Rabbit, then vertical rabbit. This is by far the best construction, heaviest, easiest to use

Well built heavy duty wine bottle opener the best I have ever used. Have owned many imitators over the years and none work as well. Extracts cork with ease first and every time

This piece is beautiful. I have one for myself and bought one for a friends birthday. It makes opening the bottle a breeze. Really clean. People want to know what it is and when you show them, they're like, this is awesome!

I have a friend that has the Screwpull wine opener and highly recommends it... I must admit, I was a little skeptical when I placed my order since it was only $79.99 when the other vendors are selling the "Screwpull" for no less than $200.00. I thought I ordered the "Screwpull" brand... What I received looks just like the "Screwpull" one except it says "Le Creuset" on the side.... A preliminary Internet search leads me to believe that the "Screwpull" brand was bought by the "Le Creuset" brand a few years ago... Not sure what to think as there is not much information out there and since the one I order/received was significantly cheaper in price... So far the one I received (Le Creuset) looks really elegant and of high quality... It has also worked perfectly so far... I guess time will be the true test... Hope this review helps.

I love lever type screw pull wine openers and classically thought, spend the money and get quality. Not in this case. I've had two. Both have broke within a year of use. The first time, a plastic piece on the inside broke. Not fixable. I replaced with a new one. The second time, the screw quit properly penetrating the cork, and started shoving it into the bottle causing big messes. I do not recommend this for even close to its price.
