this bag is made out of leather, period, not fluffy faux leather over cardboard or a thin layer of leather . if you are looking for a durable bag that has the classic style and feel that a true leather bag should have, buy this bag, plus its one of the few leather bags that can fit a 17 inch macbook pro , for under $200 and it can be worn stylishly by both men and women.

The bag is really sleek and cool, nice leather and stitching, and has functionally separated interior pouches and a padded nylon laptop sheath.

Only problem is, the padded laptop sheath is only big enough for a 13" laptop or tablet. If you want to fit a larger laptop (15" or 17"), you need to slide it into the un-padded area, which isn't great if you travel around regularly and bang the bag around.

Honestly, if the padded laptop sheath on the interior were expanded just an inch wider to accept 15" laptops, this bag would be 5-star.

This bag has a sturdy masculine look and feel to it. I tend to be rough on my bags, so time will tell as to how well it holds up. It seems to have adequate space in the front pocket and rear one for storing miscellaneous items such as pens, cards, etc. The distressed leather gives the bag a masculine appearance, and is rough in places. Overall, it is a nice bag. Two issues however are of concern: 1.) The bag has a single snap enclosure. It takes attention to ensure that you are aligning the snaps to ensure the bag is closed. I would have preferred an easier style, such as a buckle, or magnetic closure. This is not that big a deal, however, and doesn't detract from the usefulness of the bag. 2.) The second concern however is that the inner computer pocket is of such a small size that it will only accommodate the smallest of computers. This forces you to use the not so well padded outer area for transport of a computer. This is a rather egregious flaw and one that should be taken into consideration prior to purchase of the bag. If you have a small computer, under 15" or just an iPad... fine. Otherwise, don't purchase this as a computer bag as your computer will not fit into the padded pocket. Otherwise, it is a nice enough bag.

Pros: leather looks great, I get compliments on it often. Padded laptop sleeve (won't hold anything bigger than 13" though FYI) is nice, the front pocket has some nice organizing features for a wallet, pens, etc.

Cons: the strap only has about 6 eyelets, so the length isn't very customizable. Luckily it fits me (6'1" guy) fine. The compartment itself is on the smaller side. I can only get my laptop and about one 2" thick textbook (a big legal textbook) in there. Luckily, I don't often need more than this.

Nice bag, would have preferred double snaps ar each end vice middle single. Learher quality is excellent and much heaver than I ezpected for the price. For any of you out there looking for an excellent Massenger bag that will offer years of service and protection for contents, I do not think you can go wrong with this one.

This bag has a sleek appearance, but fits almost nothing inside. The special pocket for a computer does NOT fit the computer size it claims in the ad. My computer is a Dell, around 14 inches, and it won't fit, even without the protective sleeve. If you put a computer, a water bottle, and a computer cord in the bag, that's virtually all you can fit in the thing. Also, there were so few holes in the strap that I had to take it to the shoe store to get more holes -- it was hanging down around my thighs even on the shortest setting. Maybe it's made for a 7-foot man.

In short, a nice-looking bag but impractical. I find the tiny capacity very frustrating and was considering returning.

Style has changed. This is no longer a "Distressed Leather" bag, as appearing in the picture. The leather looks brand new, almost Orange-tan color. There is also no inner laptop sleeve anymore. There is also an adjustable strap instead of the 5-hole adjustments I read from previous reviews.

The bag is still made for smaller laptops, like the other reviews. I returned the product because I wanted the distressed leather look, not a brand new orange leather bag.

If you've read all the reviews, you know this bag is on the smaller side and not designed for 15 inch laptops. As such, I bought it to use as a "second" bag (not my primary laptop bag) for those times when I want to carry my smaller 12 inch tablet laptop with just a few other items. Love the distressed leather look. Wish the strap was fully adjustable instead of having just 6 adjustment points.

It is a very nice bag. My only improvement would be a stouter strap. I like the distressed look and quality otherwise.

I read the other reviews and made my decision. It is smaller and does not handle a larger laptop well. A smaller one and/or a IPad - Yes! Easy to carry and just the right number of compartments!
