How to get correct fit!,
By Flowers (Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Le Mystere Women's Dream Tisha (Apparel)
I am a fit specialist and very familiar with this bra. Here's the inside scoop on this style 9955 Dream Tisha by Le Mystere. Since originally, the band fit so tight in this style. The company recently updated the fit of the band,, so what I mean is,,, the band on the newer version,,, now fits true to size. Ok,,, here's the catch,, some stores still have both,,, the original version (has black fabric label on inside band, which runs tight,, go up in band.) Then the newer version that fits true to size in band,,,, (newer version has stamped on label on the inside band fabric,,, there is no fabric tag). So this is how you tell these apart,,, black fabric tag on band - go up in band,,,, stamped on label/info with no fabric tag at all - runs true to size. They made a slight variation in the fabric and cups,,, mainly just a bit softer feel and look overall. Hope this clarifies this issue. Ladies, to get the best fit, be fitted by a fit specialist, especially when you are full fit. Please, don't get hung up on the size, but be very, very concerned about fit; correct fit is every thing. Most of us wear a different size in different style bras. No one and I mean no one, wears a 36D in all bras, never, ever buy a bra you have not tried on. You are wasting your money. It's just like buying a pair of shoes you have not tried on,,, all styles in bras and shoes fit different. Get the best bra you can possibly afford that really fits you well, lifts and supports. Nothing should be popping out over the top of the cup, if it is go up in cup. Band should be snug to give full lift, but not cutting into you. With bra on, raise your arms straight up. Watch front of band in mirror, if it moves up much, band is too big, if bust falls out the bottom, cup is too small or could be both. Try this with all your bras at home. Get rid of the bras that don't fit, because gravity is now taking over all day long in the wrong fitting bra. That means, your breast tissue is stretching out,,, all day long, when you wear a bra that does not properly support the bust. Why do this to your self,,,, when you don't have to. A correct fitting bra should hook on the loosest setting (first hooks), so when it stretches you can go tighter. Never purchase a new bra you must hook on the tightest setting. There is no where to go when it stretches. So, this will not lift you any more and your are wasting your money. Clothing is designed to fit at the natural bustline, halfway between your elbow and shoulder. If your bust is not there, you don't know if your clothing fits properly. Listen up on this, full fit ladies. If you wear the same couple of bras all the time. Your body oils break down the fibers in the bras, then they are worn out in a few months. But you are still wearing these a year later and sagging down to your elbow. No one should look like that. No part of the bust, should be lying on the stomach. Purchase 4 - 6 quality bras that really lift and support you at the natural bustline. Let these air out a day or two before you wear the same bra again. Rotate wearing these bras. This gives you a bra wardrobe that all equally support you. Now you throw the bad bras,, that don't support in the trash,, because I don't want you to ever where these again. I fitted my niece in this bra, she wears a 44F. She sweats easily, so I thought it might be too hot for her. But here's what she said, it's great because it lifts the bust up off the belly, so she does not sweat under there any more. Plus, she said her posture was much better and I could tell this too. She was probably lifted at least 3" to 4". Also, think about this ladies, once you get the bust lifted to the natural bustline. You have more torso, giving you a taller, longer leaner look. Ok now, there are no more excuses for not having a great fitting bra. Believe me your back will thank you. Here's some questions you should consider: What allows your clothing to fit correctly? What takes pressure off your back and shoulders? What gives you better posture? What makes a dart on blouse/dress fit in the right place? What elongates the torso, making you look taller, slimmer, trimmer? What should you wear when you go shopping for new clothing? ANSWER: To all of the above,,, a well fitting, supportive bra.

I own 3,

I am a 38 DD and 175lbs. It is very hard to find a good supporting bra for real breast. I love this bra, I own 3. I alternate them all week. I have had them for over a year. They have not lost their shape, they have not frayed, they have not stetched. The give me a nice shape in the front and no rolls in the back. The thick cups give shape not bulk. I will never buy another bra again. It was worth the $100 investment to have great bra's all year.

Le Mystere is Le Manifique!,
By 1)Support - it does a great job. This bra does not sag over the course of the day. Your figure looks just as great in the evening as when you put the bra on in the morning. 2)Coverage - this gives the modest more coverage so people don't see what you don't want them to see. For starters, the fabric is thicker than any bra that I have ever owned. And no, this is not a padded bra, the material is just thicker. Since the material is thicker, it means that it is truly opaque. Not even with the thinnest and whitest t-shirt will you be embarassed. 3)Comfort - this bra is quite comfortable, especially considering that it is an underwire. I have not experienced the sensation of underwire digging in nor the straps gouging my shoulders. But on occassion I do feel some pressure from one of the straps (hence the 4 star rating). Now there are a few things that may give you pause. 1)Price - this bra averages $60-65 in department stores, not a cheap undergarment. 2)Size - this bra is larger compared to other bras of the same size. What I mean is that the bra has a defined shape... it does not lie flat as the cups are molded. And there is more fabric that connects the cups together. A good descriptive word is "substantial", but don't think bulky. This bra does disappear under t-shirts giving you a beautiful form rather than a body marked by undergarment lines. This is an undergarment that I intend to buy again... and again... and again.

Cautiously Optimistic,

I entitled the review "Cautiously Optimistic" because of the relatively short period of time I have worn this garment and I am still reserving a bit of judgement regarding its durability. Having stated that, I have been very impressed with the support of this bra.Having a larger-than-average chest size (the bra I purchased was an "f" cup) I have become accustomed to purchasing bras which offer support initially only to, if you'll pardon the pun, let me down within a week or so of wearing them. "Tisha" has offered solid support. This bra has hiked my bosom up and kept it up all day. I have not experienced any sagging or shifting of the garment. As I mentioned the support is excellent, it has even passed the "jiggle test". If I have to hurry somewhere or, heaven forbid, break into a jog "the girls" stay where they ought offering no threat of injury to me or any innocent passer-by. The side supports are, no doubt part of the reason for the bra's effectiveness but they can pinch a bit. In short, it feels GOOD to take the bra off at the end of the day. I do not however fantasize about slipping out of it at lunchtime to ease aching shoulders or alleviate pain as I have with some others. A bra is, quite naturally, a very personal garment and therefore difficult to recommend but I do recommend this bra for large-busted women. I would happily trade the scores of $30-$40 dollar "mistakes" for this style.

Top Bra for Big Top,
This bra is a must for those of us who have been overly blessed up top. You do need to go to Le Mystere's web site, measure yourself according to their sizing, and then order the bra. The sizing is just a little bit different. Also, at first the band of the bra will seem to fit too snugly, but that is actually the way bras are supposed to fit for better support. And, they do stretch some after wear. If you're tired of having a saggy look, the headlights showing, or the muffin top, then try this bra. It's expensive, but you'll spend a lot more in your search for a better one in the end. Quit buying those cheap bras from the local WMart. You have never been pleased with them in the past, and it wont be any different now. I have bags full of old ones to prove my point. BUT, DEFINITELY GO BY THEIR SIZING ON THEIR WEBSITE BEFORE ORDERING!

Great bra!,
This review is from: Le Mystere Women's Dream Tisha (Apparel)
This is a wonderful bra, especially if you are large busted. It is comfortable and supports beautifully. I would recommend a professional fitting before you buy. I normally wear a 34DD but in this bra I wear a 36E. Gives a nice shape with no visible lines or pinching. This is now the only bra I will buy. I am ordering my 4th.

Excellent to wear in the cold, along with a wonderful fit and form. I bought the 36 and found it to be too tight, it fits now either from weight loss or stretching. I bought a 38 in the T-Shirt model, and it fits pretty good. My suggestion is to get a professional measurement before choosing your size. This bra is Wonderful!!!

This is the most comfortable best supporting bra I have ever owned. It is a little snug the first couple of time it is worn then it starts to 'conform' to fit perfectly. I recieved this item very quickly.

Great comfort - Poor quality,

I absolutely loved this bra when I first put it on, but after only a couple of washings the metal underwire broke through the fabric and started poking at my underarm. I thought it was just a rare occurence, but I bought a couple more of these bras and the same thing happened everytime. They cost way too much money to only get two or three wears out of them. I am so disappointed in the quality of the underwire.
