Your Baby Today Babies usually love bathtime, but combining soap and water with a squirmy infant can make for slippery conditions. This softly cushioned bath pillow from Leachco helps keep your infant in place--whether you bathe her in the kitchen sink or bathtub--while you get her clean. The colorful striped fish and seahorses that adorn the pillow will amuse your baby. The bather comes with a handle to allow for easy drying. -- Maureen Connolly for Your Baby Today

Product Description

Leachco Safer Bather Infant Bath Pad Safer Bather bath pad has all of the features every parent needs to assure baby's bath is as safe and pleasurable as can be. The head is elevated keeping water out of baby's ears, and it won't break or pull apart like some sponge pads. Soft polyester filling dries quickly with a sturdy hanger for convenient drip dry storage. Baby will appreciate not having to lay in a hard plastic tub. Safer Bather can be used to sponge bathe newborns or place directly into the full size tub when your infant is ready to make the transition. Just fill the tub and place Safer Bather directly in the tub. It is constructed of an open weave polyester fabric that is soft and porous, made just for the bath. The inner polyester batting conforms to baby's body creating a soft cushioned pad like no other. When fininshed, just shake out the pad and watch the water quickly escape. The fabric's special weave design actually speeds up water loss.

The hanger makes it so easy to hang this up after his bath to let the water drain and dry it out.

This was the best gift that I received at my shower. I had purchased a baby tub when my daughter was born, but she slid all around in the slippery tub. We had to wait for daddy to get home to give her a bath because it required two hands to keep her upright. I pulled this bath pillow from the closet and put it to use. It fit in my kitchen sink and cushioned my little one perfectly. I could now easily bathe her myself. She is almost 5 months old now, and we use it in the tub. The pad absorbs enough water to weight it down safely. Although it does dry quickly hanging overnight, it has developed a mildew smell, I would recommend washing it every couple of weeks to prevent this.

I started using this in our kitchen sink when my son was a newborn. We tried switching to our hard plastic baby bathtub when he was too big for the sink and he HATED it. Now, he is five months old, and I just use the safer bather in my big bathtub, and he splashes his feet and loves playing in the bath. This one is great because you can fill the tub first and the bather holds warm water in. We could use this with the baby bathtub, but it would be more trouble than it's worth. This just hangs up to dry when finished, and ready for the next bath. No dragging a big baby tub in and out of the closet. We love it.

I got this for my daughter almost 7 years ago and this was one of my best shower gifts. It allows the child to float on the water and fully supports them. My husband was a pro doing the bath when she was only a month old. I had trouble finding this a couple of times when I wanted to give it as a gift so I am glad that it is back.

I truly loved this cushion! I was so worried about putting my newborn into one of those large baby baths. She was so small and floppy that I constantly worried about her slipping out of the mesh meant to hold her safely in place. When I received this cushion at my baby shower, I was a bit reluctant that something so simple could do the trick. Boy was I wrong! Not only is this the simplest way to clean my baby, but it also makes bedtime bathing a real treat! It is so soft and plush that it completely relaxes my baby. She can hang out in comfort as I play with her, talk with her, and soap her up. And, I don't worry about her slipping or sliding around in the bath since she is completely relaxed and stationary. Another benefit of this cushion is that it fits in my sink or bathtub. No more lugging around those bulky baby bathtubs or messing with draining out dirty water every time she has an accident in the tub. This is a great buy and a must have for any mom!!!! It makes bath time a true bonding time!

I registered for this after reading all of the great reviews and let me tell you, it is truly WONDERFUL! I use this along with my Infant to Toddler bathtub by evenflo and it fits perfectly. My daughter was rather small at birth (5lbs 3oz.) and she loves it. The first time I used the blue back support that came with the tub, but she seemed to feel so insecure. She spent the entire time grasping at air, looking for something to hold onto and sliding around. Since then I've always used this pillow and she sits there like a big girl! I no longer have to use one hand to hold her and one to bath her. Both hands are free. The pillow actually does stay warm (you'd think it would get cold when wet), and it does not mildew as mentioned before. All you have to do is hang it up high (shortly after using it) where it can drain properly with the hanger provided. The evenflo tub I have is a pretty big one and the safer bather sometimes sinks, but I've discoverd that I can use the little hanger that came with the pillow to keep the pillow from moving while in use. All you have to do is attach the hanger to the pillow and then put the hanger under the lip(edge) on the back of the tub. Now the safer bather will not move AT ALL! This is my second child and I have never found anything like it. I would absolutely recommend it, ESPECIALLY for little ones and newborns.

This bather is "DA BOMB"! I don't know how I bathed my first child without it!!! No trying to manage a wiggly newborn in a hard, slippery, cold plastic tub. Baby fits comfortably and snugly, with an elevated head, in this cushion, allowing mom or dad to use both hands to get the job done! (And don't tell my hubby, but when "Calgon Takes Me Away" -- this bather makes an EXCELLENT cushion behind MY back!) This is the first product I've used in a long time that has me wanting to tell everyone what a great find I've made!! I can't say enough good things about this bather. You won't be sorry!

My little angel is only 7wks old, and loves her baths. This product lets me keep her head out of the water and she doesn't slip when I'm washing her. It allows me to have a free hand. All parents out there this is a definite must have....don't pass this by....worth every penny!

I wasn't sure about this when I first saw it, but it turned out to be my favorite for bath time! I found that it is not only the most comfortable for my baby, but it soaks up the water so baby stays warm. I read one other review that the person says that the baby "floats" on the water. It does not float! When I read that before I had tried it, it made me nervous.
My one and only complaint is that I wish that it had more padding for the baby's head. There is quite a bit there, but I usually end up putting a rolled up wash cloth there just so his head is up a little higher. He seems to like it more.
After the bath is done, I just squeeze out as much water as I can and then hang it to dry.
I really believe that it is the best baby bath tub product you could buy...It just hurts to bend over the side of the bath. But, it can also be used in large sinks too (when your baby can't sit up yet on his own).
