i am so glad that ms. brice wrote this book. there is such a need for it in the african american community. i now make it a standard practice to send a copy to friends and family members who have recently lost a loved one.

I am a Social Worker and I purchased this book after two devasting losses in my family. It was three years later before I was able to read and digest the true beauty of this book. I have purchased numerous copies for friends and loved ones. It is a very easy read well suited for anyone experiencing the difficulty of a loss. I highly recommend it as a professional and an individual.

This is the first time I ordered a used product. I was pretty desperate as this book is fairly old and out of circulation. But I really wanted to give this book to a very good friend who lost his mother suddenly and very unexpectedly. I was pleased with the quality of the product and was most happy it was in good condition.
