"God forgives any sin that one is truly sorry for committing."

For me personally, this book started out slow and it took me a while to get into it but as it got towards the end, it was really good.
Libby
This is a great book, good strong characters and depth for the story line.

I read a previous series and this one is just as good. Her books are based on good spiritual principles.

Format: Paperback
Hott Synopsis:
Shiloh Griffin has always felt the call for more but has relegated her life to that of wife and mother to honor a promise she made to God.
Now, almost twenty years later she lives each day with regret. She wouldn’t give up her husband and children for anything but sometimes she wishes there was more.

When an unexpected job offer comes her way Shiloh jumps at it sure that it’s God’s gift to her for honoring her promise but in accepting this gift Shiloh will have choices to make. Choices that will affect her family and her husband’s tenuous head pastor position. Choices that will bring to light the secrets she’s kept for years. Choices that will alter the perfect facade she’s constructed.
Is Shiloh strong enough to accept God’s gift?

Hott Review:
I didn’t finish ‘Lead Me Home’. It was a really good book, but it was so emotional and deep that I kept feeling myself get down because of the depth. If you can handle this level of emotion then it’s perfect for you.

Shiloh Griffin is a wife, mother and first lady. She married her husband young, so any life she may have dreamed for herself became non-existent as her main purpose became being a helpmate to her husband and pastor and mother to their four sons.

While leading the women's bible study, Shiloh feels threatened by Jade Smith, the assistant pastor's wife. Shiloh knows the word of God, but when dealing with Jade, it's sometimes difficult to remember to be Christlike. Will these two ladies learn to co-exist?

A teaching opportunity lands in Shiloh's lap. She would love to be able to do something separate from her husband and children. Despite loving her husband, children and ministry, she finally feels as though her life has meaning. Immediately Shiloh finds herself bonding with the students.

Monica, a 16-year-old, has a real talent as a flutist. She finds it easy to confide in Shiloh. In doing so, Shiloh realizes that this was by God's design. Before, Shiloh can assist Monica, she has to open up her long ago buried secrets to her family. Will her past be a wrecking ball in their lives?

This is the second book in the Winds of Change series. So far we've gotten very acquainted with two of three of the Wilson sister's. As always, Hawkins books are comforting, with real life characters and circumstances. I was so drawn into the story, and how she is able to tackle multiple story lines.

Definitely worthy of a recommendation, Just be certain you read COMING HOME first.

Excellent work. I love the interconnetions shown through our choices. Sin never just affects you so we must be careful to make wise choices. God's grace is sufficient. I look forward to your next message. Thank you!

"Before you continue ask yourself if there is a purpose in sharing what's on your heart with the rest of us. Will what you share help your audience in some way?
If the only purpose in sharing will help you or make you stronger in some way then do it, if it is just to get it off your chest, then it should fit the above criteria, and if it is to propel others towards action or to become aware of a larger issue for others to address, then share."

As much as the book is about the power of standing in your truth, this passage sums up the entire book for me and took me back to the basics of my Christian walk.

God's grace is sufficient and in all we do we should edify others and bring glory to God. So that always remains the question, is what I am saying or doing edifying to others and is it glorifying God. There are so many pearls of wisdom that minister in this book.

Thank you Ms Adams for allowing God to write this book through you.

Easy read with good story line. Looking forward to reading the author's other books. Very interesting characters who come to terms with their individual demons.

It is often said that the testimony you give is not for you, but those struggling with the same challenge. So it is with Shiloh Griffin.

Being a pastor’s wife is challenging at best. Being a pastor’s wife with a past that won’t let go is more than troubling for Shiloh. The annual ritual she performs gives her little peace. She believes that her decision to take the job as a music teacher just might. It's perfect for her, but little does she know that it will cause her to internalize her secret in a way she could never imagine.

Lead Me Home opens the discussion to acknowledging that no one is without flaws. Beyond this it speaks to the importance of accepting those flaws in order to walk in who you’ve been called to be.
