A Kid's Review

of course, conan is right - nothing beats seeing them live. Also, their music is listening to - loving by kinda music - you need it often once you get hooked. you know Professor and Maryann's third album will be out soon - personally, I can't wait. just wait till you hear "lonesome old world" - I heard them perform it - it's bound to get ya going - straight to the shopping cart.

Harold and Maude would love some of these songs, May 6, 1998

"Lead us not into Penn Station" is a strong sophmore album. "Good Morning" and "A Pefect Night" are just beautiful, showcasing Maryann's haunting voice and the Professor's gentle acoustic guitar. "Cadillac", "Claire the Musical", and "Luck" balance the album, offering the Professor's own voice and very quirky lyrics--alot of which are about death.

Helium, Strum and Then Some, September 14, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Lead Us Not Into Penn Station (Audio CD)
The strange synergy of helium-high voice, simple, almost childlike compositions and idiosyncratic, unmistakably adult lyrics make for wonderful music. The lean production lets the songs come through, and although this ain't even close to dance music, its moving.

If your tired or the same old stuff, June 28, 2000
This review is from: Lead Us Not Into Penn Station (Audio CD)
OK so I am biased because Ken was my Professor in college but the music these two put out is so different than anything you hear these days. It's definetly relaxing and what I call "chill" music. If you like Sting or Maxwell or just want a change, you have to give them a try. If you live the NYC area see them live, it's even better.
