This book is a shocking eye opener. I met Mr. Pfouts once at a party, heard his story and ordered this book. I read it while still living in a violent section of Brooklyn, NY during a violent time. I knew that after reading this book that I had at least a faint idea of what a person may need to do meantally if ever the victim of a gunshot wound.. This is a MUST READ

Not very compelling first person accounts of people being shot from Viet Nam to about 1990. It's like the author found somebody here or there that had gotten shot, recorded and transcribed their 'story'. I wish I had skipped it.
