I didn't start using the "green book," also known these days as a "leader book," regularly until after I retired from 28 years in the Air Force. I'm on number three so far recording daily notes, to do lists and the administrivia of daily life. I've tried several vendors' products and different colors of covers. This coyote brown cover was just what I needed. It covers what has been described as the "Kermit green" cover of the 5x8 notebook in a subdued way that doesn't use a camouflage pattern, which I really don't need these days. It was also priced well at just under $11.00 plus shipping. It has all the same features as Raine's ACU pattern cover - velcro for name and a rank patch outside, a velcro-secured pouch in the front, pen holder and clear ID pocket in the back. A good find!
