If you have a calling to be a leader in the ministry then Joyce has written an excellent book to help you along. This book is adapted from her 12-tape audio cassette album entitled "The Making Of A Leader", so if you enjoy this book you may want to purchase album from her website .... In this book she reveals the many different heart-types that are needed for leadership and the heart-types that need to be changed. She also offers encouragements to those who are struggling along the process of becoming a leader, showing us how God uses tests and trials to make us what He wants us to be. She also shares about the different kinds of tests that a leader in the making will have to undergo. There is also information on the importance of balance in our life. Most of all, Joyce encourages us that no matter how old you are, what is your track record, or how many problems you have, the potential to be all God wants you to be is still within you waiting to be unleashed. She also shares personal stories from her life that will make you laugh and help you along in the areas you hurt the most. A good read that will help you.

This book is outstanding. It is practical, relevant and Joyce's honesty is refreshing. The book outlines areas of the soul that must be dealt with in order to be an effective leader for Christ. The twist is that Joyce outlines the negatives, but tells you what you need to do to make it "right". She is constantly reminding you of her personal challenges and that if she can change - anyone can. It constantly outlines personal leadership pitfalls that leaders need to be aware of in order to lead effectively. If you desire to be an effective leader after God's own heart - you must get this book. I plan to purchase this book for my entire leadership team.

I bought this book to complete an assignment, back when I was in college. I had to read a book about leadership. I just happened to know about this author, and truley respect her opinion on a lot of subjects, so when I discovered this book I bought it and found it insightful, and easy to read.

This book expresses how one must stay humble to become a confident leader. Motives can be tested when you are a leader. Pride can get in the way, but true humility will keep you balanced. Let others praise you. Let others watch how you are not beyond cleaning a toilet!

I really enjoyed reading this book and revisiting scriptures that the author uses to support this book. The leadership tests described in the book gave me great insight into examining my cause and my role as a leader. Joyce Meyer provided great personal examples of what she has experienced as a Leader. I would definitely recommend this book for Ministry leaders. I have plans to read this book again. I have also shared what I have read with members of the ministry in which I serve.

As a side note. I once saw this book at a store. There were at least 10 or more copies. I went back a short time later and they were all gone.

Product was received on time. It was what I was expecting and in good condition. It was described just as it is.

This book is a must for all those who claim to be a follower of Christ, and not just those in leadership, or thinking of being in leadership! It speaks of the integrity of heart that we should all have and display.

This is a great book for men or women going into leadership positions. I read it several years ago and loaned to someone and never got it back. I started teaching a leadership (mentoring)class at my church and ordered another copy. I enjoyed it even more this time.
