From the Publisher

Introducing Zondervan's Exciting New Daily Study Bible Series--with a Bible That Brings God's Word into the Leadership Arena The Leadership Bible offers both a defining purpose beyond the temporal bottom line thinking of society and a relevant model for contemporary leadership. The first in Zondervan's dynamic new Daily Study Bible Series, this study Bible empowers leaders with a biblical ethic and helps them understand and achieve God's highest purpose for themselves and those they lead. Study helps focus on three crucial areas of a leader's life: 1. personal education and motivation - 2. biblically informed leadership techniques - 3. influencing and motivating others - A complete topical index allows leaders to use the Bible as a quick reference guide for making everyday decisions. Other authoritative features include:* 52 weeks of thought-provoking notes on issues that leaders care about--a systematic program to develop skills and vision as a leader by spending only 15 minutes a day for a year.* 80 character profiles help leaders visualize success and failure as illustrated in the lives of biblical leaders.* Over 500 leadership principles highlighted throughout the Scripture text offer crisp, memorable insights.* 66 book introductions draw leadership themes from each book of the Bible.* Notes contain contemporary insights from well-known leaders that promote powerful principles of effective leadership.* Clear, accurate New International Version text.* NIV concordance and NIV side-column reference system.* Two-color design throughout.

5.0 out of 5 stars A discipleship course for leaders, November 4, 1999
By
This review is from: Leadership Bible, The (Hardcover)
I was quite skeptical when I first saw this book here at Amazon.com. The reason being is that most of the "self-help" versions of the bible seem to be less than half of what they should or make themselves out to be. The title is great, the idea is practical, but when you actually get into its pages, they seem to be watered down and lacking. This leadership version of the NIV exceeded every expectation I had. I was very hesistant to buy it for the same reasons as above, but I couldn't deny the leadership calling on my life nor the opportunity God was giving me to equip myself with this tool. If you're in middle school, or high school and sense a calling on your life to lead a group of people, or if you just want to influence a small group of your buddies, or if you're a world renowned evagelist will thousands that look to you for wisdom and guidance, this book will stretch you and fill you with the characteristics of what God would have a leader to be. No nonsense, no hype, no hard-to-read scholar english, just good 'ol in-your-face, to the point and accurate strategies and verses that will encourage you to step up into the role God has called you to. The most resourceful bible I've ever read.

5.0 out of 5 stars I purchased this Bible for wisdom..., February 2, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Leadership Bible, The (Hardcover)
I bought this Bible because I need guidance in my first year serving in an administrative position at work. I needed skills, insight, and tools to deal with others in a fair, effective and supportive manner.

This Bible is providing me with more wisdom than any other management book I have ever purchased. Although I am not a Christian, I have nevertheless been riveted by the Word and have been reading this Book daily. I am enjoying it, I am learning from it, and I am finding peace. It is beautiful. It is practical. It is awesome and it is developing a desire within me to seek more. There are 52 week themes and I have been reading them all the time--you should hear my coworkers remark at my reading this Bible on break times! "How do I deal with this crisis at hand?" --I look in this Bible and see what God says to do. And then I am finding myself saying everytime "this is really sound advice".

If they ever come out with a Personal Finance Bible (which is fitting for our times), I will be the first in line to buy it. Thank you, Zondorvan Publishers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional Christian Leadership with daily studies., December 8, 1998
By
David Silko (Carrollton, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Leadership Bible, The (Hardcover)
This is a GREAT Bible for Leaders at any level and would also be excellent for students that plan to pursue leadership positions.

The daily readings/studies provide practical leadership insights and references to Bible passages that support the insights. They also provide unique views of the leadership abilities of many of the characters in the Bible. I found it to be very readable, providing new perspectives on leadership and Biblical basics.

If you had any doubt that the Bible is the Greatest Book ever written, buy this version. It clearly shows the wisdom of the authors of both the Old and New Testaments. Their principles are as applicable today as they were over 2,000 years ago.
