Book Description

June 30, 2003
The Leadership Experience in Asia is the asian adaptation of The Leadership Experience, 2/e by Daft. It integrates both micro and macro approaches to leadership and brings advanced concepts and practices of the leadership experience, most of which originated in the West, to within reach of anyone who wants to lead effectively in Asia. By plugging into models of effective leadership, it demonstrates how the numerous leadership concepts and international practices can be applied in Asia.

2.0 out of 5 stars Solid, December 17, 2009
This review is from: The Leadership Experience in Asia (Paperback)
An interesting idea and a solid academic read. Nevertheless, this book feels like a standard leadership textbook mixing largely American theories with largely Singaporean case studies. I had hoped to read more on the many different uniquely Asian perspectives on leadership; exploring how culture and history have shaped these views. If you're interested in Singaporean leadership, I think this would prove to be a valuable read.
