An excellent book for your Human Performance toolbox, November 14, 1996
By A Customer
This review is from: Leadership IQ: A Personal Development Process Based On A Scientific Study of A New Generation of Leaders (Hardcover)
I found that this book clarified many of the things that I knew and felt about managment
but was unable to put into words. The author does an excellent job of discussing various
aspects of leadership and provides practical tools that can be used immediately in the
work environment. I work for a Utility and we have already started to change the
way we view personnel performance based on concepts presented in this book. I read it once,
let the ideas simmer for a week, and then read it again.

Ok book, flawed LIQ self assessment, November 25, 2011
This review is from: Leadership IQ: A Personal Development Process Based On A Scientific Study of A New Generation of Leaders (Hardcover)
While this book starts with an intriguing premise, that of some sort of leadership IQ, it ultimately fails in defining such a nebulous quantity. In particular the self-assessment questions are ridiculously contained with situations that do not apply to what in essence true leadership encompasses. Perhaps it is generational in nature, and of a bidding oratory much in common with the consultant's point of view. Do not take serious this text in the 21st century, especially in consideration of the Silicon Valley measure of leadership, which defies this sort of measurement altogether!
