This book is written for the CEO or the potential CEO to become a more effective leader and a dynamic business person. Mike Myatt, tha author of this amazing book lets the readers in on his secrets of looking into the real success of business and not just the glammor and guts. His chapter on advertisement glitz versus success really make you think why Microsoft is such a big company and has lots of sales, but everybody hates them. His line in the book that says, "You can't be a CEO as a one trick pony," brings home the truth that you have to stay innovative and continue to produce and not just manage. This book shows you how to climb to the top and stay at the top. It is written in a reader friendly format that allows you to get the facts and remember them. If success is on your mind, this is the book for you.

The Author went to great lengths to not base the book on himself, but as a person. I agree with the concept that a perosn is more important than the job or position they hold.It is so true that many people have a business plan but they don't have a life plan. I loved this, I read it over and over, it was direct, however interesting. Accomplishment as well as integrity. We live in a fast paced socirty, and its books like this that remind us what is most important, and how to slow down, but still succeed. The author lets people know leadership is important, but living life is more important, and you can learn to balance a median between the two. Awesome!

Mike Myatt has written a practical guide to becoming the best CEO you can be.There has been a need for a book such as this for a long time now, and I am thrilled with Mr. Myatt's offering. He presents the basics of what it takes to succeed in the business world in a easy-to-read, conversational form. At times, it felt almost as if he were speaking to me! I highly recommend this book for those motivated individuals hovering on the bottom rung of the corporate ladder as well as those already at the top! Whether you are an aspiring CEO or long time chief executive, this book will "speak" to you, too.

This is a great book for any business owner because it focuses on what you have to do for your company to succeed. These are the same things you need to focus on if you want to become the CEO of a large company, so whether you are trying to build your own company, get the job of running a large company or even trying to keep the top job at your company, I would recommend this book. It's full of real world help, unlike books that seem to try to take a single concept (like who moved my cheese) and fluff it into a book. The last chapter alone is more than worth buying the book for.

I have read over 100 business books and this is among the top 5.

This is THE book for the executive that feels like they need to do it all-and their company's going to fall apart if they don't. Much of the advice is focused on helping the CEO to properly recognize his job and to identify what should be farmed out. It's a necessary guide for anyone who wants to get a life-but has been too busy working. The author neatly identifies the symptoms of overwork, and helps the reader to avoid them. I happily give this book 5 stars for being a much needed reality check for executives with a little TOO much focus.
