Book Description

March 1, 2007
Now available in trade paper, Leading with Billy Graham will help readers discover a new way to lead--from the background. Many Christians who want to impact the world mistakenly assume that influence belongs only to the front-man. But the life of T. W. Wilson proves otherwise. As Billy Graham's closest friend and longtime personal assistant, T. W. Wilson turned his own valuable leadership skills to the task of supporting Billy and ended up influencing thousands of lives both directly and indirectly. His life is an inspiring testimony to the power of "next-level" servanthood to maximize the power of the church for the twenty-first century. Filled with interviews and stories from many of Billy Graham's associates and eight pages of photographs, this book offers a fascinating look inside the most successful evangelistic ministry of modern times as well as an inspiring blueprint for purposeful servant-leadership.

Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover

He was the man behind the man. A true servant. A next-level leader. When longtime friend T. W. Wilson accepted the invitation to be Billy Graham's personal assistant, he had no idea how God would use him. But as he followed God's call, T. W. became the right-hand man whose wise counsel and dedicated service allowed Billy Graham's ministry to flourish. T. W. Wilson went on to greatly impact the world with his humble, purposeful servanthood. Now you can discover the meaning, the purpose, and the kingdom calling of true biblical servanthood through his example. Filled with interviews and stories from many of Billy Graham's associates, plus eight pages of photographs, this book offers a fascinating look inside the most successful evangelistic ministry of modern times, as well as an inspiring blueprint for purposeful servant-leadership. "T. W. Wilson was one of the most honorable, decent, nice men I have ever met. His love for Billy Graham knew no bounds, and his propensity for friendships was also unlimited."--George H. W. Bush, forty-first president of the United States "Stimulating and inspiring. Everyone will benefit from the leadership lessons that are revealed."--James T. This book contains a number of great stories from the life of T.W. Wilson; however, overlaid on top of the stories of his ministry are the leadership principles of this author. I'm not saying his principles are wrong, but they seem unnaturally squeezed into this book. Also, the first chapter is filled with a hodgepodge of sermon illustrations that may top a list of cliche illustrations somewhere.
