4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Book
This is Gunderson's third and most theoretical book and his first with Larry Pray. For anyone working to improve the life of their community, it is a great read. Lots of good, inspirational stories, but mostly a great restructuring of the way we think about community life. One good quote:

This is Gunderson's third and most theoretical book and his first with Larry Pray. For anyone working to improve the life of their community, it is a great read. Lots of good, inspirational stories, but mostly a great restructuring of the way we think about community life. One good quote:

"Many see communities as broken and sick; we see them as capable of being connected in new ways that allow them to live" (p69).

This line runs through the entire work: how to move from focusing on how everything can go wrong to how everything can become better.
