A Good Book,
By
This review is from: Leading Causes of Life (Paperback)
This is Gunderson's third and most theoretical book and his first with Larry Pray. For anyone working to improve the life of their community, it is a great read. Lots of good, inspirational stories, but mostly a great restructuring of the way we think about community life. One good quote:
"Many see communities as broken and sick; we see them as capable of being connected in new ways that allow them to live" (p69). This line runs through the entire work: how to move from focusing on how everything can go wrong to how everything can become better.

do what?,
This review is from: Leading Causes of Life: Five Fundmentals to Change the Way You Live Your Life (Paperback)
This book has a great idea but the content leaves you with the feeling that you've read a lot of happy words and then when you're finished you think, "Now what did he just say?" This guy is a pretty good artist at saying a lot but in the end ... saying nothing.
Waste of money. |
