Key Adizes Insights for Top Management,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Leading The Leaders (Paperback)
Ichak Adizes is one of the leading world authorities on the difference between management and mismanagement, and this book "Leading the Leaders" is part of a trilogy of books that focuses on these issues. Other books in the trilogy include The Ideal Executive and Management/Mismanagement Styles. The trilogy itself is an update of ideas first introduced in his earlier book How To Solve The Mismanagement Crisis: Diagnosis and Treatment of Management Problems.
However, the sad secret is that we are all mismanagers of some tasks some of the time. We all have strengths and weaknesses, and even if we are able to work effectively in areas we are weak at, we don't do so adequately to the task all the time. In an organizational leadership context, where stakes are high, we desperately want to avoid mismanagement, so the art of crafting leadership teams - or getting leadership support from peers and team members on-the-fly, is paramount. In this crucial book, Dr. Adizes shows you how to line up talents with tasks on the leadership team, and how to manage the interactions and dynamics in productive ways. This book is aimed right at the top of an organization, and if that's where you sit, this book is one you should read.
