3.0 out of 5 stars nursing student review
As a RN student in a leadership class using this book, I found it to be incredibly dry and hard to read. It is more geared toward RNs going into management or leadership positions, not nursing students.

5.0 out of 5 stars A "Wise" Approach to Leading and Managing, October 27, 2000
By
Dr Roberts (Kansas, United States) - See all my reviews
Patricia Yoder-Wise blends the attributes which nurses exhibit in their practice, care and compassion, knowledge and skill, and logically demonstrates their application in leadership and management areas of nursing. Throughout the book, whether discussing the management of people or resources, Yoder-Wise emphasizes the need for nurses to continue to learn, to care, and maintain their passion for nursing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nursing Management Book 3rd Edition: Great!, November 18, 2008
The class I am in is using the 4th edition of this book (this is the 3rd)and sell it at the campus bookstore for $48. I found the 3rd edition on Amazon for $0.17. No noticable difference between the two, except the price!

4.0 out of 5 stars Review of Textbook - Leading and Managing in Nursing, April 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I recently ordered this book and was satisfied with its condition. I received the soft cover version of this textbook and the only flaws that were noted was some slight wear and tear to the front and back covers in that it showed the general signs of usage i.e. hairline scratches of the covers and a slight tear of the front cover near the spine of the book and a few minor creases in both front and back covers. The pages were all intact with no highlighting, notes in the margin or underlining. This book was a good purchase .
