Product Description

A/C Leak Freeze permanently seals air conditioner and refrigerant system leaks in home and commercial HVACR applications. A/C Leak Freeze is compatible with all standard refrigerant gases. It's polymer-free, tested to be non-clogging to the A/C compressor and recovery unit - it's a permanent fix. Leak Freeze Tech Tips. • Be sure to FULLY attach the reusable adapter to the low side ONLY. • Do not allow time to elapse once the system is running. Quickly, inject the product. • Recharge the system AFTER injecting AC LeakFreeze. • A caulk gun is helpful when pushing the product in the systems with high pressure on the low side. Insert entire syringe into sleeve of caulk gun and slowly ratchet down on top of the plunger. Always keep your free hand on top of syringe for stability. • AC LeakFreeze will not cause any damage to gauges. • When system pressure is high, particularly in R410a and R22 applications, we recommend putting the system in a shallow vacuum to alleviate low side pressure Features Permanently seals leaks in air conditioning and refrigeration systems Will continue to seal additional Leaks for up to 1 year that meet testing specifications Does not contain polymers Not activated by moisture or oxygen Tested to be non-clogging to a/c compressor and recovery unit Ideal for preventive maintenance and leak protection Can be mixed with refrigerant gas: R11, R12, R13, R14, R22, R23, R123, R124, R134a, R141b, R404a, R407c, R410a, R502, R503, R507, & R600 Seals Leaks Up To .05 mm 1/4 Fitting Size Permanently seals leaks in air conditioning and refrigeration systems Will continue to seal additional Leaks for up to 1 year that meet testing specification

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By Ed on September 3, 2013
As per instructions I added this product to my 4 ton home air conditioner that lost about 2 lbs of R22 over 6 months, immediately added R22 to the proper charge and ran for 30 minutes. It has been 12 months now and the leak is still gone. Also recommended to a friend and it also worked for them. I don't know if it works everytime, but as a fact it has worked 2 out of 2 for actual use that I have been involved with.

One 8/2/2013 also used on my son's air conditioning system that had a slow leak. The key word is slow leak - if you are losing a complete charge in 24 hours it will not work! After 7 months the leak is still gone. I would suggest that immediately after adding Leak Freeze to add refigerant to normal operating pressure and let the unit run continuious for at least 1/2 hour - give it time to work under pressure. I did this each time and so far worked 3 for 3.

Saw all the pros and cons and it seemed like it worked for some and not for others. I think it will get me another couple of years anyway. Lets Hope

The A/C Leak Freeze 00284 was easy to install with the aid of a caulking gun. Since my heat pump generally leaks down in about a year, I could give a better report on the product, next summer. If it performs as promised, I may not have to recharge the unit again, next summer! And even if it still leaks down a bit, now that I have the adapter, I can just by more product and save some $$.
