Book Description

Free falling into a war zone, Lieutenant Colonel Alexandra “The Fey” Hargreaves learns that her former intern, Sergeant Larry Flagg, and his Special Forces team have failed to report. One missing team, one personal worry, magnifies as the shocking disappearance of nearly two hundred active Special Operations soldiers becomes reality.. When Alex uncovers a hidden threat to national security, she and her Fey Team are caught in a web spun by a computer genius.

Lean on Me is a journey across the globe; atop the canyons of Paktika Province and under the North Dakota plain, south for a day on Harkers Island and south again in the Indian Ocean as Alex and the Fey Team rescue hostages, outsmart an old enemy, and discover a trail that leads from the murder of the Fey Special Forces Team to the destruction of the world.

The fourth installment in the Alex the Fey thriller series, Lean on Me, delivers the members of the Fey Team in action like never before as Alex Hargreaves takes on the gut-wrenching mantle of command and comes to terms with her own first rule of leadership: “Wherever you are, it is your friends who make your world.”

2.0 out of 5 stars Please edit better! May 15, 2012

Despite the mixed reviews the other 3 books in this series got I kept reading because even with all the items in the story that had me pulling out my hair, the plot line kept me glued to the book and wanting to know what happened next. I was very excited when I saw the fourth installment out and couldn't wait to see where the gang would end up. I am only ¼ of way into the book and I am having to force myself to keep reading. Please, please, please find a new editor. I have lost count of the number of times I have had to go back and reread a part because it makes no sense or you contradict what you wrote a paragraph above.
I know this is a work of fiction but the plausibility of some of the things is just off the charts. The other problem I have with this one is the grandiosity that you have bestowed on the fey team. I get it, they are awesome, and all the soldiers love them, but come on. Almost the whole first part of the book is devoted to that. Where is grit of the other 3 books?
Also, as a former military person my self, enough with her snuggling with the rest of team, it makes me really not like the book. I would respect her a lot more if she was able to just be tough around her team and mushy with her husband. Not all females out in the field have to cuddle with their team mates to get by.
I really want to love this book like I did the other 3 but at this point I don't even know if I will be able to finish it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Touching, riveting and unforgettable! February 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I was so thrilled to get Lean On Me, by the wonderfully talented Claudia Hall Christian, early and gobbled the book up. Having fallen in love with the Alex the Fey series with the first book in this series, I found myself eager to catch up with all of the gang and what was happening to each of them....and all I can say is it was well worth the wait...I cried...laughed...was tense with the well planned out action scenes...and felt deep sorrow as well as joy....Ms Christian is a writer of great talent in that she pulls you into the very lives of her characters...you feel as if they are part of your family...you care and wonder and cheer them each on....I cannot go into the full plot as it would be difficult without spoilers...and I won't do that to diehard fans...as to new readers...do yourself the greatest favor and buy these books...start with The Fey and then Learning to Stand, next Who I Am....that way you will get the full benefit of each of the wonderful characters in these wonderful stories....if you love military action, intrigue, family devotion...romance and patriotism....you will love this series...I highly recommend this book. I cannot wait for the next in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic series January 4, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved this series. Once I started to read, I could not put the book down. I felt that I knew the characters so well and they inspired me to be stronger and live my life in a more exciting way. I love the fact that the Fey is a woman, who has a coffee addiction, and that she cries and is comforted without it making her a weaker character in any form. I also like the way that she insists people treat their families, as it is inspirational. What will happen next now that Alex and John have adopted children - will she continue being the Fey.

I did find it hard to work out which book was the next to read, so once I worked it out, I made a list so that I could read them in the correct order.
Thank you for a truly wonderful series. I am really missing them now. Christine
