I recently purchased the Lean Manufacturing Training Set at a Lean conference. The set included a Facilitator's Guide, 5 Participant Guides, 1 CD containing everything in Power Point so I could modify anything and print additional copies. It also included a detailed Lean simulation, along with a Lean Jeopardy game. The Power Point presentation included many examples of Lean tools in action. It is great to see how various Lean tools are used. I have customized this set to include many of our company examples. I am currently using this set to train over 1000 employees in our organization. This Training Set has saved me weeks, if not months, of my time in development. I recommend this to anyone that needs to train and implement Lean in an organization.

The Lean Manufacturing Training Set was purchased for use to standardize all our training platforms across all our divisions. Having over 200+ Power Point slides, as well as the ability to customize, print your own Participant Guides, as well as the Lean Jeopardy game, makes this a must for any organization. We have customized this to our organization, but has saved us considerable time in money in the process. We now use parts of it for our Lean Office projects.

We used The Lean Manufacturing Training Set to train all our 500+ employees on Lean. The Set was easy to customize as we added some of our own examples. We also distributed The New Lean Pocket Guide as course materials to each participant so they would have information available when assigned to an improvement project. The exercises were great for the shop floor people, as well as the machining and assembly examples. We also are now using The New Lean Office Training Set, as well as the pocket guide from MCS Media, Inc. or The Lean Store (commercial site), to train administrative areas. I cannot say enough about the value of these training sets - a glowing recommendation!

We immediately used 90% of the training slides contained in this training set. The overview section on Lean, change management, teaming, along with the traditional Lean tools of 5S, takt time, pitch, visual controls, leveling, etc. are all well-explained with practical definitions as well as digital photos of the tools and concepts from manufacturing plants. Our employees related to the examples and stimulated ideas on how we too can apply many of the tools to our plant processes. For the price of around $200, it far exceeded our expectations. The simulation and Lean Jeopardy Game was also used in our training, making it one of our best programs to date. (We also provided The New Lean Pocket Guide to the class participants, which were well-received.)

This training set is an excellent collection of information presented in a logical order that conveys all the Lean tools and concepts. There are numerous manufacturing digital photos that accompany each tool description, as well as there are numerous small exercises that can be done. The entire training program takes 8 hours. The simulation, in its simplicity, was a great way to explain many of the Lean tools and concepts. We concluded our training sessions with the Jeopardy Game - everyone loved it. We will be purchasing The New Lean Office Training Set as well as the 5S Desktop Training Sets to train all our administrative staff in the very near future. One can tell that the content of this training set had been "factory approved" and "field tested."

This recent purchase was exactly what we needed, a training program that we could customize. The slides were well done, as well as the simulation was thoroughly explained. We tailored the materials for our new Production Excellence program. All the Lean tools of takt time, 5S, leveling, standard work, mistake proofing, etc. were covered, and each tool had examples for manufacturing. A very solid program to teach Lean tools and concepts.

We recently purchased The Lean Manufacturing Training Set and found it very comprehensive. All the Lean tools are explained with many having examples from the manufacturing floor. The Instructor's Notes were very helpful in understanding each of the 200+ slides. We modified the training CD's PowerPoint slides, which included doing the Lean Simulation that is very good, to include some of our Lean production successes. One can tell this program was created by those that did the training. Instead of duplicating the participant slides we handed out The New Lean Pocket Guide to all our participants. The training materials matched the book pretty well. Fantastic training program!

I too recently purchased this Training Set and found the materials everything I expected. There was a CD with all the 200+ PowerPoint slides, the Lean Manufacturing Jeopardy Game, many activities, very thorough Lean tool explanation with examples, etc. I had purchased other training sets in the past from competitors and I found this set to be the most bang-for-your-buck. I highly recommend this (and also there a great support at The Lean Store) for any questions. Five stars+ from me!

The Lean Manufacturing Training Set very succinctly teaches the Lean tools and concepts. The practical exercises for standard work, change, etc. allow participants to understand more about Lean through experiencing many of the Lean tools. The Lean Jeopardy Game had everyone involved in an activity like none before. The examples on many of the slides gave participants immediate ideas for improvement. Great program!

I am not sure how this product is getting high reviews. I ordered this and paid $195 to simply receive a photocopied black-and-white 218-page so-called "facilitator's guide." I never received anything else. Where is the CD and the rest of the product description? Either some error happened with my shipment or this is some fake product that does not commit to its product description.

Someone please advice. Thank you.
