1.0 out of 5 stars ...forgettable - that's what u r!
Sorry, but this album is just too weak. I mean, David's good looks have always been a part of his success, but that doesn't give him the right to deliver a meaningless pop/rock album full of numb tracks that noone remembers. The singles "Leap Of Faith" & "Teach Me" are OK, but the entire album relies on them, and the songs get worse as the CD runs. You don't realize when...

This is one of the best album I have ever bought. Loved 99% of the songs (and the other 1%, more than OK).
Especially good for accompanying long distance driving...

5.0 out of 5 stars Still sounds as great as when it was first released, July 16, 2007
This review is from: Leap of Faith (Audio CD)
I simply love every song on this album. I was hooked on the CD when it was released 5 years ago, and I recently got hooked on the songs again. Some of my favorites; "Take You There", "Sympathy", "If I Don't Tell You Soon" and "Teach Me How To Love". The title track is indeed a great song, but the CD offers so much more. Looking forward to his new CD, although it seems delayed again.

5.0 out of 5 stars The way pop is: irresistible, September 4, 2002
This review is from: Leap of Faith (Audio CD)
With 2001 being the great year for pop music that it was, it is perhaps no surprise that David Charvet's album is right up there with the most recent productions by Kylie Minogue, Natalie Imbruglia, Enrique Iglesias, Cher, and Darren Hayes. And since the ex-Savage Garden front-man came up, we could very well use him as a parallel for Charvet. They are both 30 years old, they are both showmen (i.e. true performers), and they both grew up listening to infectious '80s pop. Charvet himself admits to being a fan of Michael Jackson, Elton John, and lately Robbie Williams. Make no mistake, however. His sound is as fresh as it could be. And of course, it did not hurt that he was helped by British producers to put together this album (and since Geri Halliwell and Robbie Williams, if they don't know pop, nobody does!). "Leap of Faith" (the song), a sort of "Affirmation" (the declarative quintessential track by Savage Garden), although with not quite the same powerful lyrics, is a courageous attempt at breaking the charts with an upbeat song and a darn good melody at that. In Europe, Charvet got the attention expected. America, it's time to catch on! This is excellent music that is beautifully produced. Hence, with Charvet, there's no need for a leap of faith; he's a good buy either way.

This review is from: Leap of Faith (Audio CD)
uNBELIEVABLY BAYWATCH HUNK DAVID CHARVET HAS SERVED UP A TRUE POP MASTERPIECE, SONG AFTER SONG AFTER SONG IS A HIT RECORD. sTANDOUT TRACKS INCLUDE THE SINGLE LEAP OF FAITH AND THE ADDICTIVE "ALL I WANT IS YOU" WHICH SHOULD BE RELEASED NEXT AS THE SINGLE BECAUSE IT HAS GOT AN UNFORGETTABLE HOOK. THER COULD BE 5 OR 6 SINGLES OFF THIS RECORD-MY HATS OFF TO DAVID CHARVET FOR GETTING THE TASTE OF dAVID HASSELHOFF OUT OF OUR MOUTHS AND EARS!!!

This album is great from beginning to end.
Of course, I am a big fan of David Charvet, so I am a little biased... It is definitely as good, if not better, than his French album :)

If you can get over the Charvet-fascination, you'll see this is NOT A REALLY GOOD ALBUM.
