5.0 out of 5 stars Taglieri really delivers!, May 21, 2003

Leap of Faith is a tremendous effort on John Taglieri's part. He mixes soulful ballads with some great upbeat songs. This is an album you can pop in and listen to all the way through. I would suggest that everyone add this to their collection.

This album blends the sounds of Bon Jovi and Survivor. A very good addition to your collection of AOR CDs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD, October 8, 2006
This review is from: Leap Of Faith (Audio CD)
I bought this CD for two reasons: Because John Taglieri is very talented and his music rock....and because I want to support a talented musician who has in many ways is mentauring me and has given me tons of valuable advice regarding the music business, so I consider him my friend.

Thanks John! You rule!

5.0 out of 5 stars rock on!, September 23, 2003

John Taglieri has put years of life and love into this CD.

From the opening chords of the title track 'Leap of Faith', John draws you in with his vocal stylings and massive guitar tracks. 'High Road" puts into words the way we all feel at the end of a relationship...and he does so with such skill and charisma

this is a definite must-have for anyone who longs for the return of real rock n roll

5.0 out of 5 stars Great in person!, January 14, 2002

I heard John play at a small cafe this weekend. He has a great voice, and his music has a lot of heart. Look out for his next CD, we got a preview of some songs, and it sounded fantastic!

4.0 out of 5 stars A diamond in the rough, July 25, 2000

Like Bon Jovi John Taglieri hails from New Jersey, where he has recently been proclaimed most promising newcomer of the year. Although the similarities are evident (in "Need to hear" and title track "Leap of faith" for instance), this talented John Elefante lookalike is considerably more poprock minded than his famous nextdoor neighbors, exploring the lighter side of AOR in the tradition of artists such as Richard Marx, Bryan Adams, Stan Meissner and Mitch Malloy (to name but a few). This debut CD is very much a solo affair. Besides being the sole composer, Taglieri has also made a point of playing all instruments himself, except for keyboards and piano which were played by co-producer Bill Colletti. The 12 track lineup was compiled from 30 demo recordings which in turn were carefully selected from 150 songs. Still i wouldn't go as far as to say that every song that made the album is a clear winner. What John Taglieri provides is over 51 minutes of unpretentious, wholesome family entertainment for the discerning AOR buff. Apart from the two i already indicated, the tracks that most appealed to me were "I found you", "Shangri-la", "Can't you see" and "Here without you". The only song on the album that is somewhat of a letdown is "One more tomorrow", a duet with a female singer that just never seems to take off. But judge for yourself... I would say this guy undoubtedly has a lot of potential, which he will hopefully live up to on his second CD, which is supposed to be even more AOR oriented and for which he has already enlisted the services of several band members. I am told it will be released in a matter of months.
