"Leap" to the top,

This review is from: Leap Of Faith (MP3 Download)
Any "blues" fans out there will appreciate this 44 minute album from "Can't Come With You" all the way through "Falling Out Of Love". My personal favorite is "Rewind", which is reminiscent of the kind of tunes given to us from the late Sam Cooke. Oh, and by the way, if you like the way B. B. King plays guitar you will really appreciate Seth Walker on his own Gibson. His latest album, "Leap of Faith", is a hit in my book. It is 5 stars, A+, 2 thumbs up, whatever scale you want to apply. Find the top of the scale and that is where this album is positioned. It's a little bit blues, a little bit rock and roll and maybe even a little bit R&B. The musicians, from Seth on guitar through horns, drums and just enough keyboard action are superb on all tracks. I don't know what influences this Austin, TX journeyman blues man has in his head but you can find Gary Moore, Huey Lewis and hints of Ray Charles while listening to this fine album. You can't help but note the obvious influence of his friend and mentor Delbert McClinton. It's McClinton you hear lending vocal support on "Something Fast" The album showcases Seth Walker's songwriting abilities such as "Rewind" but also delivers several covers, tastefully done. All-in-all this is an album worth following and I predict platinum results quickly.

Amazing CD,

This review is from: Leap of Faith (Audio CD)
This CD is amazing! Traditionally I am not a blues fan, but since discovering Seth Walker, I am hooked. The more I hear it, the more I love it! The songs are catchy and upbeat and the lyrics are great. Rewind was my favorite off of the album until I heard him play Lately I've let things slide...now I can't decide which one I love more!

Seth's Best Yet,
This review is from: Leap of Faith (Audio CD)
Start to finish "Leap of Faith" is Seth's best showing to date. It's got just the right combination of catchy rock riffs (a la "On the Outside") and blues soul (a la his prior self-titled album). The production is tight and the mood flows from foot-stomping to heart-felt without stumbling. If you're unfamiliar with Walker's style, this is a must-have; the record will keep your toes tapping with every listen.
