"Leap" to the top,

Any "blues" fans out there will appreciate this 44 minute album from "Can't Come With You" all the way through "Falling Out Of Love". My personal favorite is "Rewind", which is reminiscent of the kind of tunes given to us from the late Sam Cooke. Oh, and by the way, if you like the way B. B. King plays guitar you will really appreciate Seth Walker on his own Gibson. His latest album, "Leap of Faith", is a hit in my book. It is 5 stars, A+, 2 thumbs up, whatever scale you want to apply. Find the top of the scale and that is where this album is positioned. It's a little bit blues, a little bit rock and roll and maybe even a little bit R&B. The musicians, from Seth on guitar through horns, drums and just enough keyboard action are superb on all tracks. I don't know what influences this Austin, TX journeyman blues man has in his head but you can find Gary Moore, Huey Lewis and hints of Ray Charles while listening to this fine album. You can't help but note the obvious influence of his friend and mentor Delbert McClinton. It's McClinton you hear lending vocal support on "Something Fast" The album showcases Seth Walker's songwriting abilities such as "Rewind" but also delivers several covers, tastefully done. All-in-all this is an album worth following and I predict platinum results quickly.

Amazing CD,

This CD is amazing! Traditionally I am not a blues fan, but since discovering Seth Walker, I am hooked. The more I hear it, the more I love it! The songs are catchy and upbeat and the lyrics are great. Rewind was my favorite off of the album until I heard him play Lately I've let things slide...now I can't decide which one I love more!

Seth's Best Yet,
This review is from: Leap of Faith (Audio CD)
Start to finish "Leap of Faith" is Seth's best showing to date. It's got just the right combination of catchy rock riffs (a la "On the Outside") and blues soul (a la his prior self-titled album). The production is tight and the mood flows from foot-stomping to heart-felt without stumbling. If you're unfamiliar with Walker's style, this is a must-have; the record will keep your toes tapping with every listen.

Leap of Fame,

There's good and bad here.
First the good: this album is tremendous and Seth Walker's next can't be too soon. The bad is that one's toes get extremely tired from tapping. BTW, "I Don't Dance" will make you want to. Don't try to pigeon hole this music for there are elements of blues, r&b, and jazz here; just listen.

Seth was the highlight of the Delbert McClinton Sandy Beaches cruise! Amazing voice, amazing lyrics, and an amazingly nice guy!

Very solid disc; good songs, strong souful vocals, sharp tasteful playing, and a nice crisp clean production sound. Alles gut.
Seth generally gets labeled as blues. This collection of songs sounds more like soul (ala Delbert McClinton) to my ears. Who cares, really? Buy the disc, enjoy the music!

A New Soul Voice,

Seth Walkers smooth soul voice is hard not to take notice. I first heard him on Delbert McClintons Sandy Beaches Cruz in 2009. The title track is written by Delbert and the recording is produced by his longtime collaborator Gary Nicholsen. There's a big soul revival going on right now with artists like James Hunter leading the way. Seth Walker is in there too.

I really love this CD. Seth has a great sound. This is real music from a real artist. If you ever get the chance to see him live do not pass it up. I really loved his last album but this one is even better. Check it out you won't be sorry!!
