I bought clifford for my 4yr's birthday. He loves the game... his only frustration, echo'd by my husband and I, is that when it asks for the player to "trace" the letters to practic writting, it is VERY sensitve to going outside of the lines and forces you to try and try again. That is difficult for a 4yr old. My husband and I had to concenrate as well on being able to trace simple letters due to the sensitivity of the game. I think that with time this will become less of an issue, but for a new writer, it is very frustrating. The games were fun and engaging and is is willing to keep picking it up to try again.

Overall and excellent game and introduction to reading and letters.

My daughter is four and she has had her Leapster for a year now. She has the games:Learn to Draw, Dora, Princess, and now Clifford. This one is the best educationally and most enjoyable for her out of all the mentioned games.

Bought for my soon to be 4yr old. She really likes it and I especially like the letter writing feature of the game. Would recommend along with, diego, animal genius and sonic (she's a little young for sonic but loves it anyway)

This is the first and so far only cartridge I've bought for my son, who's 3 and 3/4. He's taken to it immediately. It's already noticeably improved his pen control, introduced him to the concept of jokes (he especially likes "Why was 6 scared of 7? Because 7 8 9"), and has been his first taste of a computer-like device. The concept, tone and even the music are just right. If the other Leapster games are as good as this one I'll be very pleased.

Teaches letter formation. It has guidelines to follow and demonstrates the strokes to follow. Excellent learning tool.

My four year old loves to play this game. it teaches him how to spell and read three letter words. It's one of his favorite games.

I was a bit worried about this game based on other reviews. I'm very glad I got it. The writing part of the game has actually worked quite well. My 5 year lefty does not have the best penmanship and has been very able to use the pen to trace letters; even in the car! He also does not seemed bothered by the fact that the joke rewards are not that exciting. I, on the other hand, now have an arsenal of corny puns... It has been a very nice tool to get him interesting in writing and phonics; he is much more into this than our kitchen table workbook sessions.

My son is attending a school for speech due to his special needs. His leapster together with Clifford get him going by keeping him entertained and focused on finding rhymes with Emily Elizabeth. He repeats each witty rhyme and keeps him looking for more.

This Leapster game is wonderful! My five year old loves the Clifford game. It teaches kids how to spell, write and think logically.

We bought this for our son for Christmas. Talk about thrilled!
I home school and our son has ADHD, so that is a challenge. He does better with the computer and gaming so I am also looking for new educational toys, that he doesn't realize are. This has helped him immensely with his grammer skills. And has really built his self confindence.
Highly reccommend this game.
