Product Description

From the Manufacturer

As seen in Child magazine's 'Best Toy Awards' issue! Baby's steps set the learning in motion! Push the walker and watch the red drum spin and the colorful organ pipes move up and down all in time to a marching band ABC song. Switch to music mode and hear a fun walk-along song that encourages baby's first steps. This walker can also be converted into a sit-at learning center for a 2-in-1 learning experience. With two ways to play, baby will have tons to learn and explore. In learn mode, spin the drum for an ABC song (when the drum stops, the song stops), turn the trumpet roller for an introduction to shapes and colors, or push the organ for a counting 1-5 song. In music mode, each activity offers real instrumental tunes and upbeat melodies with every spin, press and turn! The Learning Band Walker is full of moving instruments and real instrument sounds that reward those first steps and make baby leader of the band! How does it work? * Music and moving instruments all start when baby pushes the walker! * 2-stage conversion from floor toy to walker! * Parent-set volume control (lets parents choose the volume level). * Sturdy, wide base! NOTE: No gift wrap available for this item.

My little girl likes to push and sing to the music and without it she's a bit confused and won't push it.

We got this for my daughter for her 1 year old birthday last week! She absolutely loves it!! She pushes it all over the house! I really like it because I feel like it is helping her learn to walk and teaching her ABC's and numbers. My only complaint is that the little drum that turns as they walk has a motor that is kind of loud. However, that does not seem to bother our little girl a bit! She loves it!

My 11 month old weighs 22lbs, so I really needed something that would be solid and strong as he tries to learn to walk. Some of the walkers we'd use at play group or at friends' houses were too light, and when he'd push on them, he'd go flying forward. So I really, really appreciate this toy. It remains stable as he stands up, and moves at just the right speed when he pushes it. The music on it is pleasant, it has an on/off switch with volume control, and it has different settings. It isn't really a toy for him to just sit there and play with it for a long period of time, because like some of the reviewers wrote, it has to be moving to really get it going and do a lot. I still give it 5 stars anyway, because I really appreciate it as a walker.

After not enjoying the Gobble & Go Hippo by FP, we decided to see if Leap Frog had a walker... sure enough. And we really like it. Sure, the songs can be repetitive, but really, what child toy doesn't have this distinction? This walker is fantastic because it's sturdy enough for our growing young one to pull himself up on... and he can easily push it whichever way he wants, the toy is constructed so that he doesn't HAVE to use the red handle if he doesn't want to.

You'll want to carefully supervise your young one at first as the toy can go a little quick for learning walkers. After a few hours of play though they'll get the hang of it.

And yes, sometimes the toy will suddenly start playing the song for some reason without being pushed.

But overall, a great educational toy from LeapFrog once again.

This walker is great. We bought this for my 10 month old son, who showed NO interest in walking at all. Within 3 weeks of using the walker, he was walking on his own. My only complaints are: 1. The handle could be adjustable to allow for growth. I have tall boys and they have to lean over to grab the handle. 2. Also, if you put any pressure on the drum, it moves off the spinning wheel and won't turn. Try to explain to a baby that he can't push on it... it doesn't exactly work. Other than that, it has fun activities and the boys love it, even now that they walk well.

I don't know why anyone would give this walker a bad review!

My son received this as a christmas gift when he was only four months old. I forgot I had it until he was 10 1/2 months old. I put it together for him and within days he was walking on his own! He still loves to push it around even though he can walk without it:)

The volume has two different levels, which is a huge difference between the two:) It is very sturdy even for those who are just beginning to walk. I would have bought this if I didn't receive it as a gift. I highly recommend this item for any child!

My daughter was just at the stage where she was pulling herself up and "walking" around all of our cocktail tables (11-12 mos). From the moment we assembled this product, she placed her hands on it, and off she went! She is so proud of herself while she is using it. I agree with previous reviewers - it goes a little fast on hardwood floors (one moment she's here...the next she's GONE!)..but she seems to keep up with it. She's also stopped long enough to figure out the piano playing keys on it, and to change the lever from singing the ABC's to the numbers. I think it's a pretty good toy for little ones!

This is a great walker. Our daughter is 9 months old and almost 22 lbs all the others walkers we tried out were flimsy and light weight , this one is super sturdy !! Just what she needed, the music and lights keep her occupied for quite awhile !! I read some of the other reviews of this product being too "fragile" I don't know were that is coming from because this is one of the sturdiest one I have ever seen !! Great product , a must have !!!

Save your money! Here are the problems: 1)clunky and heavy to push (difficult to turn for a child) 2)frustrating for child b/c not much 'hand manipulation' -- In other words, other toys gratify a child's need to push buttons/see a reaction-- the only thing a child manipulates is the 'yellow horn' button which just shows 3 shapes. My son broke it b/c he tried to turn the wheel and push the piano buttons--these are not meant to be pushed! 3)Poor 'wear-ability' -- In other words, it broke quickly for a toy. Now the music sounds like an old broken record (seriously). 4)It uses up battery power quickly, too! INSTEAD--We got the Fisher Price Brilliant Basics Musical Activity Walker--GREAT BUY! LOTS of items for hand manipulation, EASY to push, for baby AND toddler use, and fun with or without batteries!!!
