A waste of Money...Just buy the regular model,

This review is from: LeapFrog Junior Explorer Globe (Toy)
This toy identifies the names of the continents and oceans...that's it. There are no individual countries on the globe. The regular Explorer globe for the bigger kids is a much better value for your money. It does cost a bit more, but is worth every penny. My two year old can play and learn with it, and it will serve her well for many years to come. If you are looking for something your child can enjoy for many years to come, your best bet is to avoid this model, and buy the regular Explorer globe.

Too Simplistic,

I ended up returning this item after receiving it. I was disappointed in the amount of geographic detail this globe provided. It only identified continents and oceans without identifying countries or states. I felt too big an emphasis was placed on the animals. My children were not interested in it. They are 3 & 4. I ended up purchasing the traditional explorer globe for them as I felt they would get more out of it.

Kids like it, but I'm disappointed,

Like another reviewer, I'm a little disappointed at the level of information provided by this toy. It depicts continents and oceans, but no individual countries. Perhaps I expected too much, but I was hoping that my kids would be able to tap on a country and hear information about it and perhaps a few words in the native language or the music of the national anthem. But nope. It's mostly animals. I have to admit that my kids (ages 3 and 18 months) really like it. I just wanted it to be more than it is.And take my rating on the durability with a grain of salt. We've only had it for 3 weeks, so I have no idea. But it seems well constructed.
