5.0 out of 5 stars Taking the Next Step
My five year old daughter loves Leapfrog products, so I wasn't amazed when she got caught up in this toy. She knew all of her letters prior to this, but now she's actually spelling words and thinking about how other words are spelled. She likes the function above the music one, where you can create your own words the best. I would recommend this to every parent I know...

3.0 out of 5 stars I really liked the toy...
I really like this toy and so do my three children (my oldest is now 5),--But about the only part they really play with is the music activity. I have tried to direct their play to the other activities but none of them have ever really been interested in anything else with the toys (we have the older version also). We also have had problems with the toy not turning on...

She knew all of her letters prior to this, but now she's actually spelling words and thinking about how other words are spelled. She likes the function above the music one, where you can create your own words the best. I would recommend this to every parent I know! Leap Frog has done it again!

On other parent-interesting notes, like most Leap Frog products, this is sturdy, durable, great sound quality that's adjustable. The carry handle fits her hand perfectly.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best phonics toys of it's kind., November 25, 2003

Leap Frog has really improved the sound quality of their toys. I purchased this for my three year old son after he picked it off the store shelf and started playing with it. He has other things like this, but they all seem to have built in distractions. He seems to really enjoys doing the academic activites this toy provides. The only "extra" button to press it a repeat button, so it asks the question again instead of playing an annoying song. This does have a music setting and like all other Leap toys, the songs are the same for each letter...In this case, the other six activities caught his attention before the music.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT! LOVE IT!!, October 17, 2004
This review is from: Leap Phonics Library (Toy)
I bought this for my son's 3rd birthday. He is now almost 3 1/2 and still loves it. He can recognize all of the letters and knows most of the sounds that go with the letters. This is a great toy to take on trips in the car because there are so many things to do with it~identify letters, sounds, play games, spell words, and music. Leap Frog is a brand that we have never gone wrong with!

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent gift, October 26, 2004
This review is from: Leap Phonics Library (Toy)
I purchased this gift for my nephew. What a joy it is to watch him learn and play. He was so excited when he first started to use it, and after a year, he continues to reach for it. Let the child be the judge. He says 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars She loves it!, December 17, 2003

I purchased the Leap Phonics Library for my 19 month old daughter two weeks ago. I was a little unsure about this purchase since it is recommended for 3-7 year olds. I thought I would try it out on her because she already has over 100 words in her vocabulary. I thought this would be a challenge for her. I am so glad I purchase this product for her. She absolutely loves it! She calls it her computer. My daughter has started learning the alphabets. She has learned several letters and now points out the letter r and o from words when I read to her. Amazing! She spends a lot of time playing it. I love that it has 7 activities on it and it so compact. I highly recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lower case of the A,B,C's, September 15, 2005
This review is from: Leap Phonics Library (Toy)
This is a good toy for a little one who knows their a,b,c's already. the reason I say this is mine knows hers, but has a little trouble finding the ones that are lower case. this is nice because it can teach both (larger letter in bottom corner).
Lots of patience and time and she will come trough. Great for the songs, but i think that can have some that are more recognizable for adults.

5.0 out of 5 stars another great LeapPad prouct!, June 30, 2005
This review is from: Leap Phonics Library (Toy)
I was very pleased with this purchase. I like the volume control and the varying levels of learning modes. I bought this for my now 3 yr old for her 2nd birthday and she still uses it. It will be appropriate for years to come since it has the different levels/modes for more advanced practice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still playing with 11 months later, November 18, 2005
This review is from: Leap Phonics Library (Toy)
This toy is one of the few with the lower case alphabet. We bought this for Christmas 2004 and it is still played with regularly by my 4 year old. Any toy that is under $20 and is played with for a year is a bargain! It's all the better that it's educational too.

This toy is excellent. my daughter is 2 and she loves this toy. She can pick out the letter it asks and then she waits for the reward sounds from the toy. She knows all her ABC's by sight and sound! I give these leapfrog toys most of the credit! Thank you leapfrog..

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Tool for Toddlers, July 8, 2004
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Leap Phonics Library (Toy)
We bought this about 6 months ago for our nearly-two-year-old son, and he loves it. We keep it in the car, and it is a great way to keep him amused on both long and short trips, and he's learning things to boot! Never to early to start, and he can already pick out many letters of the alphabet. We also purchased the Fridge Fun Magnets from LeapFrog, and those have also been a great educational tool for him.
