Overall this is an "okay" zippered case that's stiff and molded to fit the LeapPad Ultra. The only thing I like about it is the cartridge holder, which is really why I bought this. However, the LeapPad will fall out if you're not careful. I'm not sure why LeapFrog didn't fix this, because this was the same issue with the previous case for the LeapPad 2. Older kids can open the case and take the LeapPad out without it falling to the floor, but younger children will have an issue with this. As it is, I had to tell my son to lay it flat on his lap and open it slowly, or open it on the floor. Most of the time I just get it out for him. Really needs a velcro strap across the middle. LeapFrog, if you're reading this, please consider this addition. I am going to sew one in mine. The LeapPad Ultra is so heavy it falls out easily. On a side note: the LeapPad Ultra will fit with a Gel Skin.

I never bought this kind of case with the LeapPad or the LeapPad 2 because I had heard nothing but bad reviews, the main one being the zippers were really hard to zip. So when the LeapPad Ultra came out, I was bummed to see that there were no other carrying cases available. Knowing I needed a case, I ordered it anyways. I'm so glad I did. They seem to be made better than the ones for the original LeapPads. The zipper is easy for my children to open by themselves. It hold 6 games (more if you don't mind putting two games in one holder. Would recommend to anyone that is looking for a case for the Ultra!

Parents, please do not try to shove your LeapPad Ultra into the old LeapPad 2 case. Trust me, it won't fit. Invest in the study case. It is worth the money.

It is made for Ultra tablet, but I did not pay attention and ordered anyway for my son's LeapPad2 . Upside device fits, along with charger, USB cord, and the 6 games it made for. So I would recommend it for smaller Pads to multi use instead of device and games only.

My kids like the cases (we have one in green and one in pink), but I can't say that I'm overly impressed. We don't own any of the cartridges, so I haven't really come across any practical usage for it, but it makes the kids feel more "grown-up" to have a special carrying case for their LeapPads when we travel or they take it to Grandma's house, etc. If nothing else, it's good for storage and a little extra insurance if it drops to the floor while inside. I do wish it were big enough to fit the headphones, but that would make it a bit ungainly, so better not.

Great item at a great deal. Only wish it had a place to store the charging cord.

We ordered this for our son when he got a Leap Pad Ultra. The description says it holds the Leap Pad Ultra firmly in place and some of the reviews even confirmed that. Maybe ours is a one-off, I don't know, but it does not hold the Leap Pad Ultra FIRMLY in place. It scoots all over. We do have the gel skin on the Leap Pad Ultra but according to the write up and reviews that shouldn't make a difference. The inside cover holds six game cartridges, I believe, and those are held in place extremely well. There is a slot for an extra stylus but we don't have an extra so I cannot speak to that. I'm honestly not sure who would give their kid an extra stylus that wasn't tethered to something. In my house it would be lost in like 2 seconds. Anyway, overall it houses the Leap Pad Ultra well when not in use and I'm comfortable with my kiddo bringing it places.

I purchased this for my grandson's LeapPad Ultra xdi. It fits like a glove and is well padded on the corners, back and top edges. As he is only 17 months old he does tend to drop the LeapPad on occasion. However, with this case it is fully protected and I have no worries about him ever breaking the screen during a drop. This was a must have buy as far as I'm concerned. You simply can't go wrong wrapping your LeapPad in this protective case.
