5.0 out of 5 stars Best of all the leapster games!
I bought a leapster for Christmas, and I have the Sponge Bob, the Dora, the Kindergarten, the 1st grade and the cartridge it comes with. Out of all those cartridges the one all my kids like the best is the kindergarten. My 7 year old played it today for almost 2 hours, my 3 year old played it for at least 30 minutes, and even my 5th grader enjoyed it for a whole hour...

3.0 out of 5 stars A bit easy for kindergarten
This game is cute and has some good ideas, but it's definitely too easy for my kindergartener (luckily, he has a younger brother who can help us get our money's worth out of it). Just be aware that it's really more of a preschool game.

I bought a leapster for Christmas, and I have the Sponge Bob, the Dora, the Kindergarten, the 1st grade and the cartridge it comes with. Out of all those cartridges the one all my kids like the best is the kindergarten. My 7 year old played it today for almost 2 hours, my 3 year old played it for at least 30 minutes, and even my 5th grader enjoyed it for a whole hour. Of all the games it is the one that is the most like an educational game boy game. You are at a carnival and you are trying to earn tickets to build the funniest monster and to buy cool tunes for it to dance to for the show. You can then make the monster do funny dance moves for the show. Games to earn tickets include a balloon popping game that teaches opposites, a candy making game that teaches sequences/ patterns, a blaster one, and the fun house that is like a game boy where you have to find the letters to spell certain words. You earn red tickets at certain games and blue tickets at other games, then as you buy monster parts it teaches addition. I have to admit even I have enjoyed playing it and think it is the best of all the leapster games out.

My son is newly 5 years old. I first purchased the Leap Pad quite some time ago and it seems, even to this day, he's too young for it or he just gets bored of it quickly. I purchased the Leapster for Christmas and he LOVES it. On his birthday, I gave him the kindergarten software. (He will be going into Kingergarten this coming September). Its his FAVORITE one to date. Its like owning a video game, only EDUCATIONAL. He plays with it CONSTANTLY while learning his letters, numbers and even how to spell small words. I can't rave about it enough.

I am six. I liked balloon kaboom the best, because you got to pop balloons and it was funny.

I have a 4 year old that got this for Christmas. I have been trying to get him interested in alphabet, numbers - anything!!! Well, this toy did it! He has spent more time learning than playing with his beloved action figures. I would recommend this item very very highly. Great games, very simple controls and easy to set up. Games have lots of levels that make it a challenge as they grow.
Can't wait for more games to come out.

GET THE LEAPSTER - it is that good.

I bought this for my little boys 3rd birthday, he loves Leapster. It has been dropped and banged and still works. He is now 3 and a half and can write his name and some other words, he knows all his letters and sounds. Leapster has really helped him. My little girl is about to turn 2 and she loves the painting programs.

5.0 out of 5 stars **A great leapster game!**, March 25, 2005
This review is from: LeapFrog Leapster® Educational Game: Kindergarten (Software)
Santa brought this cartridge, the Leapster and some additional Leapster cartridges for Christmas to our little boy who is almost 4. Each game we have for the leapster my little boy has really liked but he does have his favorites and this is one of them that he will play longer than some of the other cartridges he has. It is full of learning games and the little carnival and little monster you get to build is so cute! You would have to play this game to understand, but it definately is worth every penny! If you are looking for something for your child to keep playing with after 3 months and to keep learning from daily- then purchase this cartridge!

My daughter got a Leapster for Christmas along with the Dora cartridge....she was 3 1/2 years old. She has played with it every day. We have never had any problems with it and just changed the batteries for the 1st time at 7 months. We got her this kindergarden cartridge for her 4th B-day in May. It is amazing what she has learned!!!!!! We also just purchased The Letter Factory cartridge for our last trip....it has taught her all her letter phonics...and in such a short time!!!!!! Thank you Leapster for such an awesome educational toy!!!!!

My kids each recieved Leapsters for Christmas but we bought only one of each game for them to share. I had to buy another Kindergarten game because they both wanted to play it all the time! It is easy for them to navigate around the game and some of the levels are pretty challenging for them (they are 4 and in preschool).
I'd highly recommend this for kids their age! I'd highly recommend the Leapster, too!

My daughter (age 4) loves this cartridge. She feels like a big girl getting to play "kindergarten" while she's still a preschooler! She enjoys earning tickets for the monster parts. This is definitely one of her favorite Leapster games! A must-have for the 4 and 5 year-old Leapster fanatics!

I bought this for my daughter who has high-functioning Autism and did not learn anything in her Kindergarten class other that kids are cruel. She was called retarded by her classmates and I got little to no help from the school. I pulled her out and we started homeschooling her. I bought this to get an idea of what she knows and how she likes to learn. She loves this game, and has even learned how to spell a few words since playing it. She learns through play so this is perfect for her. I also bought her the first grade game when she is ready to move on.
