love it!!!!!!!!,
This review is from: LeapFrog Leapster Learning Game Disney Princess (Toy)
My daughter loves the leapster. She has every game made and she loves this one. My favorite part of this game is dancing with cinderella. My daughter needs help with writing and she gets to collect jewels in her treasure box as she traces over the letter. The game encourages her to keep trying and at the end she watches cinderella dance, as well as count her jewels. Disney Princess has many other games on this cartridge and she loves them all.

More fun than educational,

My 3 & 4 y.o. daughters love this cartridge, but the games are a little silly in my opinion. I'm not sure what the fireworks game is supposed to teach (fireworks explode wherever the pen is pointed). There are also two games that just play songs.
There is a more educational game w/ Gus that teaches shapes, numerical order, etc. The magical footsteps also teach writing skills. I still expect more from Leapfrog, although my daughters do prefer the Princess games to the others. I would recommend the Dora cartridge if you're looking for more of an educational game. I'm glad I got this on sale-it's definitely not worth the retail price.

Not as good as other cartridges,

I bought this cartridge for my 5 year old and she has a very hard time seeing what you are supposed to be doing. The graphics are not very clear. She gets so frustrated that she prefers to play with the other games. Had I know what the graphics looked like, I would have never purchased it.

My daughter got this game when she was 4 and still loves it (she is 5 1/2). It teaches handwriting, math concepts, listening skills and it goes on for a long time unlike the other games that are over in 20 minutes. It also gets them to use their fine motor skills. I am a former teacher and I tell all my friends with girls this is the game to have. I have to disagree that this game is silly and noneducational. I think it is very appropriate for the 3 1/2 to 5 age range depending on your child. I think that once your child reaches kider they might be too advanced for it, but still love to play it.
Do all games have to prepare children for being rocket scientist? Can't kids be kids and just play with something that they enjoy? I give it a BIG thumbs up!

My daughter's favorite Leapster game!,
This review is from: LeapFrog Leapster Learning Game Disney Princess (Toy)
My daughter, who is 4 and VERY into the Disney Princesses, absolutely adores this game. It's her very favorite Leapster title. She's earned her third tiara recently and is very proud. One plus to this game is that it does have the child work on handwriting, which is helpful for us as my daughter doesn't like to work on her penmanship! This one is an absolute "must" if your girl is into the princesses!

Good but others are better,

This review is from: LeapFrog Leapster Learning Game Disney Princess (Toy)
My daughter likes this game, but it lacks something that most of us are used to from leapfrog. The content is Poor compared to the other games out there, and my daughters attention is not held as long on this cartridge compared to others even though she is crazy about anything disney princess! I think they could have done alot better with this product, and If I had known the content of this game I would not have bought it, Just because there are other games that are better. If you are looking to purchase it for the learning aspect over the fun aspect try something else.

Display of high scores,
By
This review is from: LeapFrog Leapster Learning Game Disney Princess (Toy)
My daughter loves this game as any mention of a princess will win her over.
There is one problem with this game and that is in the High Score area. It will leave the set amount of high scores in memory even if you delete/replace those player names on the intro screen. The problem is that if you have older children playing this game and racking up big scores, you may never give the younger child the chance to see her name on the display. Since this is a goal oriented game, this may mean you will have to buy another cartridge. Leap Frog said this is also on other game cartidges they produce. It seems that they should have a way to delete high scores so that if you want to hand the game down to other children, they will have as much fun getting their name on the scoreboard. When i bought this game and played it, it was apparent this had been a return because it was already loaded with names and scores. I took my daughters leapster to the store and opened up enough games to find one that had not already been used. In addition, this game is far less effective in the volume of learning skills than some of the other cartidges (ie. draw & write, Nemo, Dora). It is a shame that the one cartidge every little girl is going to want, couldn't have been better thought out and with more content. It gets two stars because my daughter would not let me give it a one. Woody

Cute game,
This review is from: LeapFrog Leapster Learning Game Disney Princess (Toy)
My 5yr old got the leapster for Christmas and loves this game. From my perspective it is a little young for her since she already knows all her shapes, letters and numbers but on the other hand she figured out how to play all the games quickly and can do them all by herself. She has several other leapster games that are more educational but she likes this one best because she doesn't need mommys help at all.

Learning tool?,
This review is from: LeapFrog Leapster Learning Game Disney Princess (Toy)
My 4 year old daughter loves the game. With that said, all I see her playing on it is one song and a game where you follow Cinderellas shoes down a path. I'd like more ABC's and 123's learing on the game(s).

Not so great,

I just bought this for my 3 year old and I have to say that compared to the other games, this one is not great at all. My daughter finds it too difficult and I think the games are boring. The Dora and Nemo games are far superior to this one and my daughter has played with those two games on and off for over a month. I'm glad I got this on sale because it didn't hold my daughters attention for even 5 minutes- I'm hoping that it will be more fun when she gets a little more coordinated but I don't think so.
