5.0 out of 5 stars Fun game, geared for older Leapster kids
We just got this game for my boys (age 4). It's a very cute game, but when we received it the package notes it's for 1st and 2nd graders (the site says 4 - 8 years old). I think it will be a game to grow into. If we play along with them, they are able to play on the first level, but they are definitely not ready to play by themselves. Overall looks good, and we can...

I bought this for my four year old granddaughter's birthday. When I read the description here it said manufactors suggested age was 4 to 8. I thought great she can do this, since she is just turning 4. I was very displeased to see that when it arrived it is for grades one to three, ages 6 to 9. Why is this misrepresented?? This is not a game for a 4 or 5 year old...

My son is almost six and wants to play this game constantly. He can do most of the "finding" himself, but sometimes asks for help for the trickier clues. He likes the sense of exploring the cove and enjoys the pirate voices.

I would say the educational benefits of this game are that it extends vocabulary and improves visio-spatial ability.

I think it helps if your child is pre-disposed to detail-oriented focused tasks like mine.

We are big fan's of the eye spy books- and this game brings that to another level. My daughter (6) has finished the game and it starts all over on another adventure with different things to search for. One of the games is hard for her (ice cream parlor) but with time she will learn ways to improve her memory. I play the games too, then I can help them verbally without having to take the game over- I liked the game, it's fun. My husband was very impressed with the quality. Even my 3 year old could help find things. This leapster game was a great addition to our game collection

I bought this game for my 4 year old since she loves the I SPY book series. It was a wonderful game to play along with her. There is a memory game, building game like Tetrus, and lots of I SPY hunts. There are 3 different games to play and once you find the treasure your child will feel so proud of themself. I highly recommend this Leapster game.

My 6 year old granddaughter has a Leapster 2 and this was a new game for her. She had fun looking for all of the hidden items. She had to use her reading skills and help solve the riddles to find some items. We had fun doing it with her too when she got stumped. The Leapster products are great!!

I had fun playing this with my 8 year old niece. It was less educational than I expected, it is mostly going to different sites and finding the hidden objects or messages the scene, in order to get pieces of a map.I enjoyed it, but I would say that I don't think you could play it too many times without knowing where everything is.

I purchased this for my daughter who is 3 1/2, because Amazon's description says "ages 4-8 years". I get it in the mail, and right on the package it says "6-9 years". I have to return it now and get something more age appropriate because of misleading information.

We bought this Leapster I Spy Treasure Hunt game twice for our five year old. Some how the first one got lost and she was devastated so thanks to Amazon we were able to get another copy. Kate spends hours playing this game and has gained vocabulary as well as problem solving skills while playing. The Leapster is a terrific toy. Hers has been dropped in a mud puddle and in a snow drift. It still functions flawlessly. For the durability of the system and the fun of this particular game I would give Leapster a five star rating and recommend it to family and friends.

My son (age 7) loves the DVD version of iSpy for his computer and this is a fun game he can take with us in the car. Directions are easy to follow and it doesn't make all of the annoying noises some of the other games make. Very fun and educational.
