5.0 out of 5 stars A cute toy that holds his attention!, November 15, 2006
This review is from: LeapFrog Learning Town Wash & Wax (Toy)
My son got this as a gift when he was about 4 months old, but he really wasn't interested in it until he was about 8 months. He sometimes plays with the blocks (and the green plastic ramp!) independently of the town garage, and he now has the dexterity to push the "car" though the carwash and to push the blocks in the garage to hear the various songs. I like that the toy has an on/off switch AND volume control.

My little girl is everywhere. This toy occupies her for five minutes and then she is on to the next thing. She loves the block shape cars. The words and songs are clear, Overall I was very happy with the purchase and I am planning to buy the rest of the set. Thank you Amazon!

We just added this and the barn to her "happy home" set. She loves all the pieces. She is a year now and has been enjoying these sets since she was 8 months old. They are easy to hold and use (I think that is why they are block shaped). I am not at all worried about her growing up and thinking everything should be blocked shaped. We love this and Highly recommend the whole collection!

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute, December 30, 2006
This review is from: LeapFrog Learning Town Wash & Wax (Toy)
My son got the farm for Christmas and then we saw this on the clearance rack at target and his lil eyes lit up when I was looking at it so now we have the car wash also. The toys are adorable and I like the songs they sing and all the dif words each block has. There is a lot you can talk about with your kid about each set. My only complaint is that mine didn't come with the green ramp! I didn't even know it had a ramp until I came on here to review it.

This is an adorable toy for toddlers, it sings and says many different things when you use the blocks to drive down the ramp and drive them thru the car wash. My daughter also has the Happy Home set which inspired me to buy this Wash & Wax set. She loves them!

4.0 out of 5 stars I have one issue, December 16, 2006
This review is from: LeapFrog Learning Town Wash & Wax (Toy)
I like the whole series of these toys, however I take a little issue with the fact that they are blocks and the toys says "car" etc... I know that they are painted like a car, but I doubt a 1 yr old knows that. I am afraid that she will get confused and think the block is a car. Also all of the objects are shaped like blocks, so a block is being called a car, truck, school bus, pig, baby, etc... (meaning the other barn and house sets, too). I think this could cause some identification problems. I surely hope that Leapfrog tested this being a educational toy company and all. I guess we will all need to work to expose our kids to real cars, pigs, babies, etc.... to make sure that they know they don't look like blocks... Otherwise, these are fun and my daughter likes them!

This was a Christmas gift for my baby nephew. He hasn't quite grown in to it yet but the older kids are enjoying it for him.
