It looks like a Jedi light saber (and surely more than one
Star Wars fan will play with it as such), but this unique and colorful toy is actually a snappy way to master addition. Create addition problems by turning and spinning the dials. Then, with a click of a button, an LCD display screen lets you see and hear the correct answer. Catchy music makes learning fun, and a friendly, cartoonish voice repeats the answer, then encourages and congratulates with each success. Included are simple instructions that make learning and using easy. This cool tool can be used to build math equations, self-test, learn addition tables in sequence, or be tested with random equations (the toy also gently introduces subtraction). Made of hard plastic, this item is extremely portable and has automatic shut-off. It is somewhat loud, however, so it's not appropriate for quieter environments.

It's never too early to learn basic counting and math skills and Twist & Shout attempts to teach children their numbers while entertaining them with a musical beat. Set up like a game, the red rod-like toy with rolling dial number bands and LCD quotient box, this toy provides children with an immediate answer to their mathematical problem solving. There's no waiting and wondering about the correct answer, enabling children to learn quicker. Twist & Shout Addition also comes with games to teach children addition tables from zero to 12. In addition to helping children learn basic computing, the toy helps cultivate a positive learning environment. They must think through problems but are rewarded with the answer. Twist & Shout Addition also stimulates motor development with its unique toy-like design and encourages independent play. And it better prepares children for school. For older children, with learning difficulties, it will help augment other teaching efforts by appealing to the child's sense of play.
