5.0 out of 5 stars a great toy for any 2nd or 3rd grader
This is not like flashcards at all. My son gets home from school and if it is sitting out he just grabs it and starts playing. Math is not his favorite, but this toy is. He loves to show off his knowledge of the big numbers. (ie. 11x12, 9x12 etc). After I saw how popular this toy was I started thinking of every possible 2nd and 3rd grader I needed to but Christmas...

3.0 out of 5 stars Another useful Twist & Shout product, I think.
In the past, I have reviewed the Twist & Shout Addition and others giving them all excellent reviews. Twist & Shout Multiplication should receive the same review, I think. My children were a bit slow learning their multiplication facts. They knew them, but the answers came slowly. Twist & Shout Addition had worked wonders with these kids, so I expected the...

I bought this as a last chance thing, because no matter how hard my daughter tried, she could not seem to memorize any multiplication tables past 6. One weekend with this gadget, and she can now not only recite multiplication tables from 1 to 12, but can also multiply equations in her head! Her math scores have doubled, and I am just too happy with this gadget! I have recommended it to other moms going thru the same thing, and after suggesting it to her math teacher, he bought one, and gives it to children to "play" with as a reward!

I teach third grade. One of my students brought in Twist and Shout Multiplication to help the students review. All of my kids love it and enjoy reviewing their math facts with it. It incorporates math review and an exciting game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Third Grade Teacher, February 17, 2000

WOW! What a wonderful toy. Teaching mulitplication facts has never been easier. My third grade students love to practice their facts every day using the Twist and Shout. I have several of these in my classroom. Every night they go home with a different student. I am not sure who plays with them more, the students, the parents, or me. A sure buy for anyone wanting to master multiplication!

This toy helped my third grader be one of the top in his class with the multiplication facts. I would have him bring it in the car all the time ...he had a ball. He especially enjoys the race against the clock.

I bought this for my son who was having a lot of trouble remembering his multiplication facts. He is typically a good student. When he was in fifth grade he was getting poor marks in math due to not knowing his facts. We tried flash cards, games, nothing helped. When he first got this he would want to play with it on his own, which was great. After he got bored with it I would encourage him use it, which he did. After just a few months he learned his facts by heart! What a painless and fun way to learn something so dull, yet vital. I think this is a great learning toy.

I have two boys, ages 5 and 7, believe it or not they both are having a great time with this toy. They are learning their multiplication tables without even knowing it! This is not a quiet toy but I have been able to tolerate the voice and it's not bad even in the car.

I also read the glowing reviews for this item and decided to give it a try. This is an excellent way to teach children multiplication. I bought it for my older son who is now mastering the tables, but to my surprise, my toddler is learning to mastering them too! I would highly recommend this learning device as an essential item to purchase when buying other school supplies for the 3rd and 4th grader. It's worth its weight in gold.

This review is from: Twist and Shout Multiplication (Toy)
I purchased the Twist & Shout Multiplication for my grandaughter who is 8 years old. She has not put it down since she received it. However mine was malfunctioned and would not give multiple choices. It would only ask the question and then gave the answer. She was hesitant to give it up when I explained I needed to exchange it for another. This is the only toy she has that has held her interest for long periods of time. She nows brags to friends that she knows her multiplication tables.
