I'm 19 years old and a sophomore in college. Yes, I know I am too old for this toy. I got the older version because I was looking for a product with PDA functions without the steap cost. This is it!!!! It's amazing!!! I didn't think this toy could actually handle my very busy schedule plus I can right notes to myself very quickly before the class is over for the day.
The new one even has more features. With storage for an unlimted addressbook, 100 notes, a notes index, 15 events per day, repetition of weekly events, an alarm that will turn on the Iquest to let you know about an event at a particular time, what else could you want for $50 bucks. It also is a lot lighter, slimmer, and has a great battery life. I have change the batteries in my old one since I got it over a year ago. I recommend this product for all middle, high school, and college students. The middle school students can use the 6-8 grade cartrigdes. The high school students can use the SAT/ACT prep cartrigdes. And the college students can use it to stay up on basic skills. Middle through College students can use it has a PDA to keep them organized. Makes a great gift year round. Buy it today!!

Wonderful idea!,

My daughters, now ages, 10 and 12, received these as Christmas gifts last year. They are total opposites, one very organized, focused, results oriented and the other a total fun, free spirit.
They both love them! My classic type A personality can keep her school work, social life and mental notes all in perfect order with this, and study while looking fabulously on top of things and in fashion, she has the purple model. My free spirit can combine her love of electronics while doing what she surely considers the boring task of studying. Both of my daughter's are A/B students and always have been but I hear less complaining about studying now. Also, the portability of these is awesome. They can use them on the way to dance class, sporting events and such, and even waiting at the doctor's office, without looking "nerdy". Also, my less than organized free spirit regularly drops, loses, and otherwise abuses her belongings, including her Iquest, and it has help up extremely well. All kids should have these!

Our high tech son loves it,

We got this for our 11 yo son for his b-day. He is a 'techie'. He loves this thing. He has used it a lot. He works with it just about everyday to hone & perfect his multiplication facts. He took it with him yesterday when I went to vote & shared with me what he learned. I was amazed at how much information he has stored in it. The only thing is there is no way to put his weekly spelling words into it. We have the 'Leapfrog- Turbo Twist Spelling', but it would have been kind of nice to have been able to use it for spelling also. I recommened this to a friend for her son & she ordered one for him yesterday. Also...the face plates make it a little more fun. My son loves the flames! By the way, I checked several places & this is the best deal that there is. If you do get one, go ahead & spring for the carrying case.

A lot of people are missing the point,
This review is from: iQuest: Black (Toy)
First off, the persong that said learning was uggh probably didnt get good grades. Another person said he bought a 6th-8th grade math cartridge and it had an exponet question like whats 2/3 + 1/4 and he said you're supposed to learn that stuff early like in 4th grade. I don't go to a special school and the 4th grade is learning the Xs tables and i'm in 6th grade and just learned how to do exponets and stuff. It is also a great tool for building up your 'doing problems in your head' kind of thing as well as regular learning. So it doesn't have this textbook or that textbook, so what? You can easily (or at least, I can) find another texbook with a chapter on it that is similar to the one you're studying. What really won me over was the dictionary and stuff like that. No more opening a book to look up a word!

That was from our 8 and 10 year old boys, both under the blanket with a flashlight and their iQuests. This thing is amazing. As a homeschool mom I must say I am very pleased with how the iQuest has fit in with our studies(we purchased all the cartridges for both 5th and 6th-8th grades). Now instead of the Gameboy they insist on taking their "Quests" everywhere(not that I'm complaining,LOL).We all definitly give this a GREAT thumbs up.

I got an Iquest for Christmas and i take it to school everyday. Everybody wants to use it when we are doing our vocabulary because of the dictionary built in to it. I havent got any cartridges yet but im waiting to get a 5th grade science cartridge. Every one loves all the great stuff you can do. My dad bought it for me because of the good reviews on amazon.com. Iquest is awesome
