Two things:

One, It's too tall for a standard rifle-sited style shotgun (like a Saiga-12). I really don't know if a taller holographic-style red dot scope would be the answer.

And two, for comparison, I switched it out on a flat-top AR, with a 6 position stock. Unfortunately, I ended up with the same results. The Cheek Rest just sits too tall for a standard flat top receiver with iron sights. It's also too tall for a standard mounted hunting rifle scope.

Bottom line: This will fit onto a 6 position Tapco-style stock with a little persuasion-- but it does fit. Nice and snug-- at least at first. Eventually, over time, it loosens a bit, making it easier to remove and reattach. Personally, I think it's too tall for standard rifle sights and standard AR rifle iron sights. I cannot see how it would be different with a AR A-2 "handle" type site either.
