I was quiet disappointed with the Sesame Street Monster Faces book. The other LeapFrog Tab Junior Books I bought were very fun to read and have lots of information on each page. But this book only has the faces and the words on each page. No interesting story to explain the face expression. Very little interaction between the reader and the book. My 3 year old son does not like it at all. But he enjoys reading the other Tag Junior books.

This is one of those products that will leave you feeling cheated.
I imagined that, because of its Sesame Street theme, it would be full of the character voices from the TV show but instead the only one you hear is Elmo's over and over -- no Cookie Monster, or Grover, or any other. But where the book falls short the most and fails miserably is in its intended use, for conveying emotions, because there is almost no feedback as to why a character feels a certain way. It's basically a random mishmash of totally disconnected pages with very little thought put behind and takes almost no advantage of the capabilities of the Tag Junior. Also, the voice content is so limited and the interaction so poor, the shameless truth is that this a full price Tag Junior book only because it has the Sesame Street logo on its cover. The sample "If I Were..." book that came with the Tag is far, far superior and it has half the number of pages! It really showcases what the technology behind the Tag Junior can do, unlike the wasted potential of "Monster Faces". Because her favorite character is Elmo, my 19 month old was mildly amused at first, but got bored with it far too quickly. Overall, this book feels like a waste of time and money. Avoid it at all costs.

Bought this book for our two-year old's birthday. For a little one who has the "me do it, self" attitude this is perfect. She loves to touch the Tag junior to her favorite Sesame characters. It is just long enough to hold her attention through the whole book.

VERY cute book... my 20 month old daughter loves it. Teaches about feelings and what face goes with each feeling. Great price too!

This book is cute and fun for my 2 year old. It has helped her greatly in identifying how people are feeling based on the face they are making. Everyone comments on how advanced she is for picking up on these clued.

Elmo is cute and all, but I have a hard time understanding what he is saying most of the time. I can just imagine it is difficult for children as well. I had to repeat his audio portion to my child often.

I would recommend this book with the Tag Jr system to anyone whose child loves sesame street. It's simple, maybe too simple for older kids. And I can't recognize some of the characters featured in the book. They are monsters that don't frequent the TV show. But many of the favorites are in there: Elmo, Telly, Cookie monster, Grover & Zoe. No Abby. My 2 year old daughter still enjoys it though. And as for durability, don't give it to a very young child. It is like most other board books, it can be torn apart & the edges chewed until they separate.

This book covers a number of different emotions, but as a Tag Jr book there is little interaction. Other books have sounds when you select pictures other than the words and this book has minimal. Better for toddlers closer to 2 vs 4. My son likes the characters so I didn't give it lower score.

My son just got this book and he already knows how to find the faces in the "game" at the end. It is a really good tool for teaching expressions to kids.
