Rochelle Campbell's short story collection "Leaping Out On Faith" certainly makes you think. Each story, featuring a woman who is faced with a difficult choice/decision to make, is well written and composed in such a way that it is easy to read, and the reader wants to know more. There are four short stories with the titles: "The Green Years", "Chambray Curtains Blowing in the Wind", "Knocking at the Door" and "All God's Men".
Whilst I do not typically read this genre I was pleasantly surprised by the second story, "Chambray Curtains Blowing in the Wind", and found the characters to be quite vivid, especially given the length of the story. I was sucked in and provided with an entertaining story that dramatically exposed the author's storytelling ability in a dramatic context, elements of which are likely all too real for many women. "All God's Men" was interesting but could have been longer to fully explore the characters and explore the central themes.
Rochelle Campbell is a strong writer with a small, but growing, solid foundation of work. Rochelle Campbell's writing is an example of Indie writers working hard to address the criticisms suggesting that one shouldn't read self-published works. One still has to choose wisely between Indie publications but Rochelle Campbell's writing and editing makes her a safe choice.
