4.0 out of 5 stars I'm Pleased
I bought this back pack for my 4 year old grandson. I read the reviews on the other case for the regular Leapster and learned that other people were having a hard time finding a case for the L-Max since it would not fit.

I did not want something really big, but big enough for the L-Max and some games.

I bought this carry case for my son's L-Max. It works well for carrying the unit and all the games he has for it. I wouldn't advise dropping it on a hard surface of any sort. It is not nearly padded enough to be carrying a hand held gaming unit of any sort. My son likes to take his L-Max to school with him for mornings before school begins. I place it in the carrying...

This is adequate in size but not too big and bulky. Everything fits. It works for us.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for storage, not great to wear., February 20, 2006

I bought this for my 4 YO son to store his Leapster and cartridges. It's great for that job - big main compartment with inside pockets, plus a small outside pocket. The problem is the strap - it's supposed to fit across the body like a messenger bag, but we can't seem to get it to fit him right no matter how we tighten it. It's always sliding around his neck and shoulder. For the price, I should have purchased a regular backpack. We always end up carrying the pack by the hanging loop instead of wearing it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the carrying case, March 13, 2006
This review is from: Leapster Kids Carry-It-All Backpack: Blue & Grey (Toy)
I agree with the other reviews on this product. It does carry more & keeps everything together in one "package".

My son has the carrying case & he likes the backpack better.

I place it in the carrying case and then place the carrying case inside of his backpack to give it some extra cushioning.

If I had known how little padding there was in this particular carrying case I probably wouldn't have bought it. There is a carrying case out for the Nintendo Wii that is similar in style but much more padded. I almost purchased it but then thought that I should get something designed for the Leapster L-Max. If I had it to do over I would have purchased the case for the Wii. It might have been a little big but the extra padding would have made up for it.

Overall, it is not a bad purchase but for the money you should get something a little more protective. After all, the Leapster starts at $69.99 and the price goes up accordingly for the L-Max.

4.0 out of 5 stars Can't quite Carry-It-All Backpack, March 21, 2006

Sturdy construction. We also ordered the charger and rechargeable battery from Leapster.com. Not able to fit charger, cables, game and LMAX in the Carry-All. Must prioritize which items to pack in the back pack. About 2 more inches in depth would have allowed space for everything, without causing it to be unmanageable for small children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect fit!, March 23, 2006
This review is from: Leapster Kids Carry-It-All Backpack: Blue & Grey (Toy)
This is a must-have to go with the Leapster L-max System and accompanying games. It is padded and has compartments for the cartridges and wiring that hooks up to the TV. I don't have to worry about the L-Max getting damaged in the house or the car!

5.0 out of 5 stars What a deal!, January 3, 2006
This review is from: Leapster Kids Carry-It-All Backpack: Blue & Grey (Toy)
Until we got this backpack my son's Leapster L-Max games were here and there.... but now he proudly keeps them together in his cool new backpack. No more searching for SpongeBob!! This backpack is just the right size for a youngster's little body and makes them feel like a big kid having this to carry stuff in. The velcro-adjustable shoulder strap was also a nice idea! This will fit him for years and years to come. This backpack is made of good quality material and nice sturdy zippers. The compartments are roomy enough for chubby little hands to be able to dig around in to find the game they're looking for. This backpack was a great buy for me and will help IMMENSELY with trips to the doctor, etc. Way to go Leapster! This Mom gives you a BIG A+! If you buy a Leapster... go ahead and get the backpack at the same time! Why wait? You'll need it!

I bought this backpack to go with the Leapster L-Max. I was afraid the small cartridges would get lost without it. My preschooler loves it. It is the perfect fit since the strap is adjustable. He knows he must put the games and system in the bag so it helps him to be organized. This was worth every penny.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bought the pink one yesterday, January 23, 2006

My daughter received her L-Max for Christmas this year and I wanted to have a place to neatly keep her cartridges (Toy's R Us had buy one game get one free the week after Christmas!). These backpacks were very popular! I had first noticed a ton of them on December 23 while picking up something else, but on December 27 they had none! Toys R Us is the only place I've seen the backpacks. Finally, after three atempts and trying different stores, we grabbed the last pink backpack yesterday. My daughter was so excited.
The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I think (...)was a bit much- I think (...)would have been more fair- like the backpacks for the My First and Little Touch Leappads (which work and hold up very well).
