ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY
April 8, 2011

We’re a measly two decades out, but 90’s nostalgia is already hitting its dubious peak: Scuffed-up Doc Martens and slouchy flannel shirts are ubiquitous again, My So-Called Life DVDs are required (re-) viewing, and Pearl Jam are steadily reissuing their grunge-defining back catalog.
Still, it’s hard for any new band to compete with Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl’s… Read more in Amazon's Foo Fighters Store

The first single from the third album by Dave Grohl's smash post-Nirvana alternative rock group, 1999's 'There Is Nothing Left To Lose'. Pt.2 is backed with two previously unreleased non-album tracks, 'Make A Bet' and a smokin' cover of Pink Floyd's 'Have

This review is from: Learn to Fly Pt.2 / Make a Bet (Audio CD)
the single is simply beautiful "laern to fly" is a really great song for "there is nothing left to lose", "make a bet" is another good b-side for this, and "Have a cigar" i think that was the best cover ever made for the foo`s if like this single,
i suggest the "M-II soundtrack", this sound track is very good
and the best track is "Have a cigar", in this track the foo`s
plays with "Queen`s" guitarrist Brian May.

I just got this cd and I like it a lot. Ok, so maybe Learn To Fly isn't the best song. But you won't be let down with Make A Bet and Have A Cigar. These two songs are really awesome and really define what Foo is all about. If you're a true fan you need this CD.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than Learn To Fly Pt. 1, January 23, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Learn to Fly Pt.2 / Make a Bet (Audio CD)
This Single is better than part one, in my opinion. The track listing is: 1. Learn to Fly 2. Make a Bet 3. Have a Cigar

Learn to Fly is the radio hit which is a decent song. Make a Bet is a song that never made it on the Foo Fighters' second album in 1997. Make a Bet is a rather decent song. Have a Cigar is a cover of the Pink Floyd song, but instead of having Dave on Vocals, Taylor Hawkins sings. If you already have Learn to Fly part 1, then don't bother getting part 2, because the one different song isn't that big of a deal. But all in all, this is a good single.
