It Really Worked!
I purchased this course about 3 months prior to my Italy trip. I listened during my daily commute. I listened to each lesson 2-3 times prior to moving to the next lesson. While most Italians in the "tourist cities" seem to speak English, they were pleasantly surprised to learn I could speak their language... with accurate pronunciation! Some thought I was...

Italian lesson
Not impressed with this product. It doesn't teach you what you need and you won't be speaking Italian anytime soon. I was not happy with this purchase

I purchased this course about 3 months prior to my Italy trip. I listened during my daily commute. I listened to each lesson 2-3 times prior to moving to the next lesson.
While most Italians in the "tourist cities" seem to speak English, they were pleasantly surprised to learn I could speak their language... with accurate pronunciation! Some thought I was fluent... not true. :o) My only complaint about the Italian course is that it was sometimes difficult to understand some of the phrases as spoken by the man. But virtually all the phrases are spoken by both a man and a woman... which provides twice the learning experience! I highly recommend Pimsleur. You can pay a lot more for other audio courses but for basic language study, you can't beat Pimsleur Quick & Simple! This was my 3rd course... and now I'm starting Portuguese!
