Hi everyone! Just putting in a first review. These books were very helpful and educational and helped me to learn not only the introduction to a new language but a little of Japanese culture too. It teaches you the first steps to learning the Japanese language starting with short sayings like this is a pen or my name is 'blank'. At the end of the third book you'll be able express yourself more clearly such as: 'The rice is in here because.....'. Sure you'll also need external sources from which you can get additional information, but this book is an excellent way to form a basic foundation upon which you can build simple, conversational speech. This book also teaches the hiragana (Japanese writing) and lightly touches upon their culture. These books were thouroughly enjoyed and I hope others like you can help spread the knowledge of Japanese language and culture around the world.
