I felt privileged to be asked to submit a case study for Linda Cole's book. Linda is an expert trainer and has the rare skill of being able to teach Social Media business skills in a practical manner that busy business people at all levels can grasp, from the CEO to the entry level employee. Her book is written in the same practical manner as the group training she provides. This book is an ideal entry point for those wanting to learn how to use the common social media platforms to more effectively market both their business brands and their personal brands.

Packed with enough but not too many supporting resources, Linda uses her own business to demonstrate how to apply what you'll learn.

The conversational style makes this easy to read and understand for anyone who doesn't yet know what a #tag is and how to use it. If you're already using social media platforms, this book is still worth reading - you may pick up something you can add to your online marketing approach. If you've been procrastinating (like I was) about getting your business social media up and running, this book removes the excuses!

This is the perfect book for the novice that wants to get started out right --- so, if you are somewhat new to social media and want a very easy-to-read and easy-to-understand guide that will walk you through the process and give you a ton of great tips - this IS your book! It has a wonderful, conversational tone - superb examples and lots of links to sites that can offer more help. I found it very useful and helpful.

I knew a bit about, and was using, all these and intended to take my work deeper. For that purpose, it worked pretty well. For anyone starting from scratch, it works well too. My tepid response stems from what it could have been and wasn't: full of stories about people more like me. Not really caring how a medium-sized company used it, because I'm not one. What about more detailed explanations of how a 1-person shop used it?
