This book really fills the book gap on Mikrotik. Great for beginners and for reference. The book covers fully almost all aspects of this powerfull routing system.

This book is a great reference for explanations of all of the Features and benefits of RouterOS. There are some examples for basic router setups. Can't wait for second edition for more detailed examples of more advanced setups.

A good book for a beginner. Does a good job of describing the full features of the RouterOS software. I wish it had more detail examples for each of the different functionality.

This is what you could call a "too basic book". I really hope with new editions more real life examples are included.

On the POSITIVE:
Dennis Burgess is an easy read. Like his writing style. The book was as the back cover stated. I now understand the features and capabilities that the RouterOS has.

On the NEGATIVE:
I still do not understand How to get these features and capabilities configured. Book was all but useless. I had several Task to accomplish. This book was not able to Help me or any other person in my company understand how to make some happen. Would like to see books that walk you through each screen and button of the WebFig. The book could be on the WebBox interface or the telnet interface, but not all. This book spends too much time telling of the different features of RouterOS and too little time teaching how to configure the features. I would NEVER recommend this book, But I would look for more books from the same author.
