Fun way to learn physics and other science,

We bought this for my six year old son, who loves science. The games are really neat and will only open harder lessons once the first ones are mastered. There are five categories including colors and sounds, physics, biology, human body, and geography. We have only been able to open the colors and sounds section and the physics so far. The colors and sound section has a really neat paint activity to combine colors to match a certain given color. The sound section has three or more bottles of water that you have to add or take away water to make the same sequence of sounds that are given. There is a section on identifying sounds you would see in a scene, but it is very easy (easy enough for my 3 year old to do). The physics section is my son's favorite and he loves the lasers game in which he is to place mirrors in certain places to reflect the laser to a target. The elecrical circuit is neat, but is more like following a string to find out which one it ends up at. It does get trickier as the harder levels are opened. The force of gravity is fun, as you have to place bouncy things in different places so that a falling object does not go past a bucket. It is challenging, but gives you three tries to get it right. This is all that has been unlocked at this time, but my son is eagerly looking forward to opening the other sections. This is recommended for grades 1-4. My son is in Kdg and does fine with it so far. This is definetely for a child who enjoys science and puzzle-like logic games.

I bought this game for my 7 year old and she mastered the entire game in less than a month. As others mentioned, you can unlock as you complete your practice (they call it career). However, there aren't many things to unlock. A bright second grader can play this game for about 2 weeks and that's about it. It is lacking in depth to challenge 3rd and 4th graders. It was available for 20 bucks on Amazon when it was released. You are probably better off spending 37 bucks (the current price) on other educational games such as brain age, brainquest, spelling bee etc. etc.

Please see the other reviewer's detailed comments. I completely agree with all those comments. I got this game for 5 year old, and he is loving it. It is easy enough, and at the same time it has some new things to learn. So that way it keeps it interesting for my 5 year old. My 3 year old also can use it and play the games like Color match, but needs some prompting rom behind to mix the right primary colors to get the secondary colors. All in all - strongly recommend.
