This review is from: Learn to Sign the Fun Way: Let Your Fingers Do the Talking with Games, Puzzles, and Activities in American Sign Language (Paperback)
"Learn to Sign the Fun Way" is an exciting tool to use with non-Deaf children to help them understand the many concepts that are introduced within the book and in the variety of games that are rated fairly by "beginner, intermediate, and advanced."Highly recommended.

I teach ASL for high school foreign language credit. My students enjoy the games offered in this book. Good practice sentences for beginners.

While the book is written in an easy flowing, understandable manner ...it's illustrations leave much to be desired. Not only are the illustrations small, they aren't clear enough to judge the readers ability to sign correctly. You'll definitely need someone who knows sign to help you form the signs accurately.

Cool,

The book is fun. I found a couple pages where the answers didn't match the signs but it's still a fun book.

I have been teaching American Sign Language for free and as a college instructor for over 20 years. I have had the privilage to teach children as young as 18 months and adults to retirement age. I have found this book to be a wonderful tool. It is full of ideas for practice sessions that were most helpful to me and made the classes even more fun. I recommend this book to all those interested in Signing. As a teacher I believe it one of the best on the market today.

Great for Teaching!!,

Illustrations are much clearer than in older sign language books. Signs are up-to-date, whereas a book like "The Joy of Signing" contains some antiquated signs. I very much enjoy teaching beginners sign language from this text. Very creative and fun!

Has a lot of basic signs that are well grouped. Takes those signs and suggests games to play to reinforce the sign learning. Easy to use and fun as well.

I teach ASL to kids and adults and use this book. I've used it for years. I am an author and know how important these reviews are....so decided I better write one. Some of the photos and descriptions are wrong....but most are RIGHT on. I LOVE the sentences at the end of each chapter. They are great for small class groups.

This is a great book for a 7th or 8th grader but too young for a 16 year old. The information about this book gives no age it will be suitable for. A nice book for the right age. I am returning it.
